  • Easter Egg: By going into the Festival of Drifting Dreams on the occasion it appeared each year and clicking a non-apparent location, you could access a secret minigame called "Flappy Fat Dragon", an Affectionate Parody of Flappy Bird.
  • Milestone Celebration: The developers usually celebrated the anniversary of the game each year in May, and usually featured new World Raids, a special premium item, and the annual Festival of Drifting Dreams, where players could compete for Planet Coins, items, troops, generals and more.
  • Schedule Slip: The "Perception 2.0" update, which would revamp the Perception stat and make it useful for more than just questing and PVP, was promised for years but never implemented.
  • Urban Legend of Zelda: During the Lyrpan World Raid in 2013, a rumor popped up that anyone hitting the boss enough times would get a special legion called "Gravediggers", which had a supposed +240% bonus against Undead creatures. This was accompanied by persistent fans swearing up and down that the legion existed, complete with (Photoshopped) pictures of a Legion screen with the word superimposed at the top left corner. Even after the raid ended, the rumor persisted on the forums. It wasn't until several months later that the legion became semi-canonized, in the form of a proc in the "Nine Lives No Undeaths" legion. It was later created for real as a legion that could be obtained in the "Shadow" raid.
