- Gratuitous English: In the original Japanese 3DO version, the scene where a hand reaches out from the mirror in an attempt to grab Laura, there is creepy voice saying "Come here, little girl." For whatever reason, this voice was not carried over to the English ports.
- Hey, It's That Voice!: The flight attendant in D2 is played by Lani Minella, who played Rouge in Sonic Adventure 2.
- Screwed by the Network: When D was ported to the PlayStation, Sony only manufactured 28,000 units, which didn't mesh well with the 100,000 preorders recieved. Due to this, Enemy Zero became a Sega Saturn exclusive.
- What Could Have Been: The original plot for D2 involved a pregnant Laura having her unborn child ripped out of her by a supernatural force, magically aged, and flung back in time. The player would step into the shoes of her now-teenaged son as he attempted to escape from a mysterious castle while fending off various supernatural attacks. This may or may not have been a direct sequel to the first D; either way, the game was scrapped when the Panasonic M2 (the console it was being developed for) was canceled.
