- Creator Backlash: Kurt Ballou himself said that he tends to disregard the albums that preceded Jane Doe, as he considers that album the point at which the band really found their sound.
- He Also Did: Outside of the band, Ballou is an accomplished producer and runner of God City Studio, and has worked with Darkest Hour, Orchid, Code Orange, Genghis Tron, Misery Index, Nails, KEN mode, pg.99, Kvelertak, Full of Hell, and The Armed. He is rumored to be the mastermind behind the latter, although they are unconfirmed and possibly Jossed, if the band themselves are to be believed.
