- Flip-Flop of God: It has been stated at different times that Cloak and Dagger were mutants whose powers that hadn't developed yet got warped by the drug or that they are just mutates whose powers specifically came from the drug. Also how much magic was inexplicably involved. Dagger's father is explicitly described as a mutant and has powers from the same source. This carries over into making them members of the Dark X-Men during Dark Reign. The current consensus seems to be that they're magical mutates.
- What Could Have Been:
- It was announced Cloak and Dagger were going to have a five part mini-series written by Valerie D'Orazio. It never materialized and instead they joined the Dark X-Men.
- Cloak and Dagger were considered for Marvel vs. Capcom 3, but were passed over because their gameplay dynamic (they would've played similarly to the Puppet Fighter characters from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future) would've made Mirror Match fights confusing.
