Trivia / Chobits

  • Crossdressing Voices: Minoru is almost always voiced by women, with the notable exception of the Spanish dub, where a guy voices him.
  • The Danza:
    • Ueda is voiced by Yuji Ueda.
    • In the Korean dub, Takako has the same Korean name as her voice actress.
  • Defictionalization: The first two books in the City with No People series that Chi reads were published in a set along with a read-along CD.
  • Network to the Rescue: The manga series was originally printed by Tokyopop, and has now been re-released by Dark Horse Manga in two omnibus books. Similarly, the anime was originally licensed by Geneon, and has since been transferred over to Funimation.
  • Playing Against Type: Crispin Freeman, normally playing serious and dangerous badasses, both good and bad guys, plays the comedic, perverted and inept everyman, Hideki.
  • Talking To Herself: Notably averted in the Korean dub, with Chii and Freya having different voice actresses. Played straight with all the other dubs which have the same voice actresses for both.
