• Lying Creator: Dave Cox denied that Alucard was Trevor despite the trailers and leaked story elements proving otherwise.
• Refitted for Sequel: Simon Belmont was considered for Lords of Shadow, but was scrapped at some point during development in favor of Gabriel, before making his debut in the Lords of Shadow canon in this game.
• Schedule Slip: The game was originally going to be released in the fall of 2012, but was pushed back to March of 2013 due to the developers not being pleased with certain aspects of it.
• What Could Have Been: According to Dave Cox, the team experimented with a Play Station Vita prototype before the decision was made to release the game on 3DS.
