Trivia / Bullet for My Valentine

Go To

  • The Cameo: "Watching Us Die Tonight", a B-side from the Scream Aim Fire sessions, was co-written by MAX MARTIN.
  • Creator Backlash: Since the Venom era, the band have completely disowned Temper Temper. They never play any songs from it live and have expressed in interviews that the album was so bad it could have broken the band up.
  • Creator Breakdown: Tuck was undergoing a divorce with his wife, hence the very bizarrely bitter-negative tone of Gravity.
  • False Credit: After his departure, Michael Thomas claimed bassist Jason "Jay" James "Never contributed to the band anyway", and Matt Tuck later mentioned he played bass on every album but was never credited for it.
  • Genre Shift: Bullet for My Valentine started off as a nu-metal band called Jeff Killed John and played in the vein of Static-X or Coal Chamber, at times even implementing rapped vocals. For a taste of BFMV's earliest incarnation, check "Step Back".
  • The Pete Best: Original bassist Nick Crandle left when the band renamed themselves Bullet for My Valentine and shifted to Metalcore, feeling the band would get nowhere. He was wrong.
  • Promoted Fanboy: Jamie Mathias was a fan of the band prior to joining.
