• Acting for Two: Boogie plays several characters, including Francis, Jessy, and Pastor Jacob. They are usually standalone, but on one occasion, he did play both Francis and himself engaging in a rap battle.
• Actor Allusion: In one of his earlier videos, Francis complained about his dungeon master, Steve. Steve is the real-life name of Boogie, the actor who plays Francis.
• Cast Incest: Boogie's wife played Francis' sister.
• Screwed by the Network: In the aftermath of Adpocalypse 2.0, Boogie's Francis videos began getting mass-demonetized by Youtube's system for the Atomic F-Bomb that Francis would drop with every other word, seriously hampering his ability to make new content without funding. While he makes the occasional Francis video for the love of the character, his newest attempt to make content is a more wholesome travel channel.
• Real Life Writes the Plot:
  • As Boogie has embarked on his weight loss efforts, excuses have been made to handwave Francis' weight loss as well.
  • Boogie's real life divorce with his wife in 2018 led to the creation of "Francis Gets Abandoned By His Sister", one of the very few serious Francis videos in which Francis' sister (played by Boogie's real-life wife) leaves while Francis is away at fat camp, and he utterly breaks down as he learns that she is cutting ties with him completely. Without the context of Boogie's divorce, it makes Francis' sister seem extremely cruel for abandoning him out of the blue.
  • Following Boogie's divorce, Francis' roommate David (who was dating Francis' sister) continued to appear in videos, with the briefest of acknowledgements of the fact that they broke up around the time she left.
• Written-In Infirmity: In a Halloween episode, Francis begins wheezing after kids throw eggs and toilet paper at him and he falls over. This was an asthma attack which Boogie started to have but kept in the video, believing this was funny.
