- Celebrity Voice Actor:
- In the Japanese version, Guts is voiced by Hiroaki Iwanaga, who was already known for his work as a model as well as acting in popular toku shows.

- Children Voicing Children: In the English dub, the younger Guts and Adonis are both played by an actual young boy (in this case, Colin DePaula).

- Corkus - Mark Sebastian was replaced by Doug Erholtz

- What Could Have Been:
- The trilogy was supposed to be followed by more movies that would continue the story past the Golden Age Arc (Eiko Tanaka expressed interest in doing Lost Children next), but apparently, these plans were shelved. There were also some scenes that they weren't able to execute in the way they had hoped, such as Guts' fight with Boscogn where they'd wanted to show Zodd throwing Guts his sword, but had to settle for Guts distracting Boscogn using a banner.
- There were plans to add Wyald and the Black Dog Knights into the story, and possibly the Bakiraka, but they were cut due to budget concerns.
