• Creator Backlash: The Revenge of the Fatties segment is considered as such according to Kevin Pereira's Reddit AMA since it essentially poked fun of obese people.
• Growing the Beard: Jonathan Frakes aka William Riker on the November 29, 2012 episode talked about this trope and the origin of the beard.
• Role-Ending Misdemeanor: An extremely unusual twist on this occurred following Proving Ground star Ryan Dunn's death in a drunk driving accident. AOTS did a tribute show on the night G4 started airing the show again, and Kevin remarked (quite seriously) that while they can't condone Dunn getting behind the wheel while drunk, they aren't going to let that one bad decision tarnish their friendship with and fond memories of him.
• Un-Canceled: Officially (along with fellow G4 original series X-Play) as of January 2021; originally set for a summer 2021 return, it would ultimately return in November instead.
• What Could Have Been: Kevin's run on the revival was always meant to only be temporary, with the plan being that he would train the new team to take over. The show was given the axe alongside the rest of the revived G4's lineup shortly after Kevin left, which instead gave the impression that the show couldn't live without Kevin.
