  • As a Rule-of-Thumb, Cody has admitted he has a hard time looking back on his older videos, older than two years at the minimum, especially since Art Evolution really ages them in his eyes.^Example His video about the Fallout series-lore is the most viewed video in his library, while he admits he still likes the video overall, he thinks the visuals are "absolutely terrible". He also stated that he has this problem even when he knows there is technically nothing wrong with the video in question, it just feels awkward for him to look back.
  • To celebrate the tenth anniversary of his channel, Cody did an entire video talking about how terrible his early content was. In particular, he highlights "What If Africa Was Never Colonized?" (for how tactless he was when discussing the subject), "The World of Attack on Titan" (for being a pointless lore video that explains the story to people who already know it and spoils the story for people who don't know it) and "What If Hitler Wasn't Antisemitic?" (for how nonsensical the entire scenario was) as videos he most regrets making.
    • It actually goes a little further than that: He openly admits to wanting to pull the "George Lucas" card as much as possible.
  • He's also stated that he doesn't agree with "The Election That Ruined Everything" anymore, feeling that he Misblamed Woodrow Wilson for things that weren't really his fault.
• Schedule Slip: His video on a world without the Atlantic slave trade took more research and planning than he'd expected, causing the video to be delayed by several weeks. Since the video was planned to come between parts 2 and 3 of the Southern Victory coverage series, that was also delayed...right into the Charlottesville riots.
  Cody: In Southern Victory Part 3, I'm going to be talking about the rise of literal Nazi Confederates because I hate myself.
  • Over a year passed between the "What if Rome Never Existed" part II and part III, since Cody initially scrapped the latter out of fear of it being too controversial and confusing.
  • "What If Big Bird Exploded in the Challenger Disaster?" was supposed to be a simple April Fools' Day video for 2023. But he wound up digging too much into the particulars concerning the disaster as it happened, and it caused the video to be delayed about a month.
    Cody: This video was supposed to be a dumb April Fools joke about a Muppet exploding. Now I'm, like, a month late, and I look like an insane person.
