* In ''BANG!'' exclusive "Friendship is Voodoo", Mulberry tries to get "professional help" for her lack of social skills by attending Vess [=MacMeal=]'s Friendship Academy. After Mulberry's success in making a new friend with Vess' advice proves short-lived, Vess explains that friends often lose touch with each other, and it often seems like they can't do anything about it. When Mulberry asks why she should even learn to make friends, Vess explains that friends can mooch off of each other. Jeff adds that friends can comfort each other when they feel sad, but Vess teaches that society frowns upon people sharing negative emotions. She ends her lecture by claiming that 1 in 4 Americans can't find anyone to turn to. Mulberry responds to Vess' reminder to pay the $900 bill for the Friendship Academy with, "[[BreakingTheFourthWall Yeah, there's a reason I normally don't let you into this part of the paper!]]" Ironically, among the seven panels of this scene that show at least some of Vess' face, all but two show her smiling.
