  • Chapter 16, the Kyuubi's speech to Naruto.
"Finally we were trapped. Jinchuuriki were born. And then they were delivered as cattle, as offers of peace. YOUR PEACE WAS BOUGHT FROM OUR SLAVERY!" the Kyuubi's scream of anger rose beyond what Naruto could suffer, as both of his hands were brought to his ears.

"WE WERE ENSLAVED; WE, so that YOU could live in peace!" the fox laughed out loud, but this one wasn't filled with hatred...as much as bitter sadness, agony beyond what Naruto could comprehend. "We were your guardians...and you made us your prisoners."

  • Chapter 16: Naruto breaks down when confronted by Aoba. The definition of I'm fine for Naruto is brought out because of that.

  • Chapter 23: It's very downplayed and subtle, but when they run into Karin, she reveals that her teammates were wiped out last night. The horrible part is that they "let her go" with the implication that they raped her first. Sakura goes from distrusting her to immediately sympathetic.

  • Chapter 24: The Kyuubi calls out to Shukaku through the chakra, and they talk. Many tears follow when the Ichibi tells he doesn't even remember why he was so keen on helping out the humans, since every time he changed host he lost bits and pieces of himself, until Kurama's words reach him with the last will of the Sage of the Six paths. And then Shukaku chooses to die while still remembering those words, asking Kurama to kill and absorb him.

  • Chapter 29: Watching Naruto lose himself and kill Tenten brutally due to Danzo's influence because of the Sharingan and Sakura's mental state after Anko's training. Not to mention Torune having her parents killed.

  • Chapter 44: Naruto personally kills an entire village, down to the last child, in order to frame Iwa. The author personally goes into details, ending with him killing a newborn.

  • Chapter 46: Naruto's loss of innocence.

  • Chapter 51: Danzo's battle against the Zero-Tails.
