Tear-jerker moments in Higher Learning:
- When Kaoru talks Shinji about their life in the post-TI world he describes as their family tried to survive despite of being alone in the world. It is heart-breaking listening how he loved his grandparents and how crappy his lives were.
- Asuka's death in the post-TI world. Before that point Shinji had at least someone left. And then his own son murders his life's love. Shinji and Kaoru locked Asuka's murderer in the Geofront where he probably died, and Shinji had to go on living alone with his grandson.
