[Later] I tried to restore the examples he killed. Seeing as I was dumb enough earlier to try to clean up his mess without restoring examples, it was the least I could do. I may try again later.
Heleentje: Is it worth mentioning that every song has the potential to be a tearjerker, if only associated with a sad enough event, or would that invite Natter?

Clarabell: I just moved several examples out of the "Classical" category. Chicago (the band), Rent, Three Doors Down? Uhh, no. I think that section should be reserved for actual classical music, classical-style film and video game scores, and old folk music. Josh Groban doesn't fit in there, either. I'm not really sure about the Yoshi's Story and Moulin Rouge (the old one) songs, though — some help there? We could also add categories of Film, Musical Theater, etc. djkates: Definitely second the idea of adding categories. Right now, the entry's a bit too hard to read. Oh, and Yoshi's Story is definitely not classical. I'd say the rule of thumb is "if the radio station most likely to play it would be a classical music station, it goes in that section, otherwise not." Would it be fitting to list examples that produce tears of joy, or would that go somewhere else? movie007: I would hazard a guess that this place is strictly for listing songs that make you cry due to them being sad, rather than because they're just so beautiful. Otherwise, a big portion of Simon and Garfunkel's catalogue could apply. Battle Hamster: I will freely admit to being a Entry Pimp for my favorite metal bands, but is there any reason the Iced Earth, Blind Guardian, and Demons And Wizards examples were deleted? (I didn't do the Iced Earth one, in any case.) Furiko Maru: Aw, hell, they've gone and done it again. Don't vandals have any pride anymore? This is shitty workmanship, this is. Skinfan87: I openly admit to not being able to make it through Brad Paisley's "Letter to Me" without the waterworks starting. That song that just looks back on what you would say to yourself in high school as a man now, and I always get choked up thinking back to high school for myself. —- Many Hills: Is there any reason why I shouldn't start to try and alphabetise this? ("Start to try to" - goodness) Freezair For A Limited Time: If you've got the time, then I cry, "go for it." Tabby: This page needs some serious cleaning. Lots of duplicates, lots of examples in the wrong sections, and even more excessive natter. |
