Shout Out: LEGO Adaptation Game
  • In Lego Star Wars, defeating the Emperor with Mace Windu earns you the "Did I Break Your Concentration?" achievement.
  • The closing cutscene for Episode V shows Luke and Leia looking out over the galaxy from the medical frigate as Chewie and Lando fly off in the Falcon. Suddenly Luke's hand pops off and begins running around with a will of its own.
  • In Lego Indiana Jones, destroying Indy with Professor Jones earns you the "That's for blasphemy!" achievement.
  • In Lego Batman, gliding for 9 seconds earns you the "Is it a bird? Is it a plane?" achievement.
  • In Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4, hiding in a barrel as Snape earns you the "Solid Snape" achievement.
  • In Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 when you put together the skeleton in the hospital wing to make the Skele-Gro potion, the skeleton does the Napoleon Dynamite dance.
  • LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 has a skeleton dance almost exactly like Michael Jackson in "Burning Bridges".
    • Similarly, in at least two levels, you will get a couple of ghosts appearing and performing part of the Thriller dance.
  • In LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7, after Bellatrix Lestrange jumps out of a cake at Bill and Fleur's wedding, you gain an achievement: "Cake or Death Eater?"
  • One level in LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7, in which Kreacher the house-elf causes mischief, is called "Kreacher Discomforts".
  • In Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, Vicki Vale mentions the mayor's plan to build a walled in district to keep the Arkham inmates in was postponed.
    • During the river chase in the second level, Batman hangs from a rope ladder with sharks nipping at his heels. If only he had some Bat-Shark Repellent.
    • When being taken away by the police the first time around, Joker says, "Watch the suit, boys!" - his first line in Batman: Arkham Asylum.
    • Lex Luthor consoles Joker about the prospect of Batman being killed by guessing that Robin would probably put on the Batsuit in his place, as in the Battle For the Cowl comic storyline.
      • And Joker replies that it wouldn't be the same, which is exactly the problem he had in the comics.
    • In the Amusement Mile section of Gotham City, you can find a slide attraction called the Helter Skelter. (This may not count because that's what that sort of slide is called in the UK, hence the name of the Beatles' song in the first place.)
    • In the Courthouse level, one of the minikit pieces was found by magnetically turning the hands of the clock to 10:04, upon which the tower would get struck by lightning.
    • When you fight Ra's al Ghul to unlock him he says:
"If you make yourself more than just a man, you become... a Superman! No, that's not right... A legend! Yes, a legend!"
  • In Lego Lord of the Rings, one sidequest found in Edoras involves a guard who mentions that he used to be a Citadel Guard, but then he took an arrow to the knee.
    • In Cirith Ungol, there is a secret room with Uruk-hai manning watchtowers. If you are spotted, a red exclamation point appears above them and the Metal Gear alert chord plays.
  • In Clone Wars, a cutscene shows the clones wanting to use a very familiar mechsuit to fight the Geonosian queen. Sadly, it's buried in rubble before it can be used.
    • You can build and use it in the free play version of the level! Sadly, not against the boss.
  • In Lord of the Rings, two mixable items you pick up on Pelennor Fields are a green herb and a red herb.
  • In Lego Marvel Super Heroes, a police box can be seen as you travel through the Bifrost.
    • An achievement for using Hulk's special move on Loki is titled "Puny God", said special move is also downright similar. Additionally, the achievement for collecting one billion studs is "Billionaire Philanthropist", and the achievement for Hulking Out 50 times is "I'm Always Angry!". The punch Hulk gives to Goblin looks familiar...
    • The achievement for hundred-percenting the game is "You Win a No-Prize!"
    • Naming a character "Trevor" in the character creator gets you the achievement "The Toast of Croydon".
    • The achievement for performing your first sky-dive from the Helicarrier is "Falling... with Style!"
      • This one in particular doubles as a Creator In-Joke, as the video game adaptations of the first two Toy Story films were some of the earliest titles by Travellers Tales.
    • One level is titled "Red Head Detention".
    • The achievement for playing as Agent Coulson is "Welcome to Level 7".
    • Having Magneto drive the Magneto-mobile to the Baxter Building will unlock the "Menace of Magneto" achievement. Menace of Magneto was the name of the fantastic four cartoon episode that introduced the vehicle.
    • "Nick Fury told us to 'get these snakes off his gosh-darned Helicarrier'. I may be paraphrasing slightly."
      • And a Gold Brick mission to get said snakes off his gosh-darn Helicarrier.
    • Sandman: "I'm melting! MELTING! ...No wait, I'm solidifying. SOLIDIFYING!"
    • Mr. Fantastic replicates the self-as parachute maneuver from The Incredibles.
    • In the bonus level "House Party Protocol", building the turntables for the party gives this gem:
    • In the X-Men level, the trophy awarded for completing it is Juggernauts and Crosses. Especially since the main series deals about racism as a whole.
    • When traveling to meet up with Thor to go to Asgard, Johnny mentions that there's something about the rainbow bridge that makes him want to race on it.
    • During the mid-credits scene, Black Panther leaps in front of the sun and his silhouette makes a very familiar symbol...
  • LEGO The Hobbit includes several references to The Lord of the Rings (books and movies). The "Po-tay-to" is a quest item, for example, and there are several quotes and LOTR characters that have no relevance to The Hobbit.
  • In the trailer for Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham the rest of the Justice League are giving their thoughts on Batman's new space suit, Wonder Woman says that he should have stuck with black. Or maybe a really dark gray.
  • In the game proper, there are numerous shout-outs:
    Jor-El: I, Maximu-- I mean, Jor-El...
