* In the episode "Lake Laogai", Iroh says to Zuko "It's time for you to look inward and begin asking yourself the big questions! Who are you? And what do you want?" Both questions being core to the philosophies of the Vorlons and the Shadows from Series/Babylon5.

Both -- both questions being core to the philosophies of the Vorlons and the Shadows from Series/Babylon5.Series/BabylonFive, and the line itself being similar to Sheridan's IronicEcho rebuke to both of them.

* Avatar references Manga/FlameOfRecca in several ways.
** The very concept of the current Avatar having access to the powers of previous Avatars is reminiscent of Recca summoning flame dragons that are actually the souls of previous clan leaders of the Hokage.
** Zuko having facial burn marks and wearing a masked costume just like Kurei Mori. He also ends up defecting to Aang's side like how Kurei defected to Team Hokage to deal with his evil foster father Kouran Mori.
** Zuko's sister Azula having blue flames to his ordinary red and yellow flames is reminiscent of Kurei wielding cursed purple flames to Recca's standard orange flame.

I hate to cut out this much, but if you're talking about the statuette demon head, you are mistaken. It's a copy of an 8th century Mesopotamian artifact. The white face seen in the movie is a *reference* to the hannya mask in Onibaba, but the statue is not.

* In Ba Sing Se, disguises himself with a mask that's actually Pazuzu, as seen in Film/TheExorcist. However, that film actually uses a Japanese hannya Noh mask, which is in fact Asian. Thus, it's the FantasyCounterpartCulture's equivalent foreign face.
