Series: Wilfred Australia
You never truly know a person until you've seen where they live. And met their family.

Wilfred is an Australian sitcom about a young man who sees his girlfriend's dog as a human man in a dog costume. The show was adapted into an American sitcom several years later, with Jason Gann reprising his role as Wilfred, the dog.

Wilfred belongs to Sarah, and he can be seen by her boyfriend Adam. Wilfred dislikes Adam and decides to test him, having endured the ups and downs of Sarah's love life. So, in addition to winning Sarah's heart, Adam must also contend with Wilfred. The show ran two seasons.

This series provides examples of:

  • Lighter and Softer: Than its American remake. The show is mostly about coming to terms with the other people in your romantic partner's life. The American version is a psychological character study of a man who might be deeply disturbed. However, the original has stronger swearing.
