A four parter series, about a woman's remains who are found in the attic of big old house. Where a load of oddballs live. Soon to be retired, DI Len Harper is put on to the case and is convinced that Melissa Young was murdered.
As the series progresses, funny things pop up about each of the residents. School teacher, Joe Sellers, has a girl in the basement. Journalist, Kieron Moss, turns out the have alcohol problems. Photographer, Elaine Marcam, is just creepy.
This series includes the following
- Cruel Twist Ending: Oh boy. Vidya has her baby and leaves Len, who now has moved into flat 5, to babysit. Elaine has killed Peggy and is preserving the body with ice. Len encounters this and he gets stabbed. Vidya finds out and when Elaine goes to try and kill her. Len shoots Elaine with his bow and arrow, before succumbing to the injury. He asks Vidya not to leave him as he doesn't want to die alone. This all happened in 15 minutes.
- Domestic Abuser: Elaine is emotionally abusive and controlling of her partner Peggy, who is too much of a Shrinking Violet to put up any resistance. It only gets worse as the story progresses.
