Sierra retains her crush from the third season. Toned down a bit before she becomes aware of the others' love for him. While annoying, its still somewhat important as she is what keeps the first girl to atmitt their affection (Bridgette? The other three play tsundere) from winning.
Bridgette also starts liking him, although turns really possesive of him IIRC. Becomes somewhat like a positivly portrayed Yandere.
Heather is all tsundere for him. Pretty obvious.
Courtney... same as Heather, only not as obvious.
Gwen. Actually, it seemed like LT would be about Cody getting over her (and what the early chapters implied), however she starts liking him around Duncan's elimination.
End spoilers.Despite being one of the better fan fics on the fandom, it is still highly polarizing. There's bashing involved, and the female characters become rather shallow towards the end. Up to and including them willing to "share" just to be in a relationship with Cody. You have been warned.

Big Bad: Duncan for the majority of the fic, Alejandro from a certain point onwards.
Big Bad Wannabe: Justin. He doesn't even make it past the merge. Alejnadro was set up as this until his return.
Breakout Character: Cody, of course, even moreso than what World Tour gave him. This also gives an interesting look between him and the potential relationships with the other girls before desolving to a slightly-unwanted Harem senerio.
Fridge Brilliance: At first, Alejandro getting Noah kicked off with a bribe to anyone who can beat him just seemed like a Disproportionate Retribution. However, he bribes his way back on the game in a similar manner, meaning that he could have tied and planned the two together. Noah lead to his first elimination so if Alejandro where to return he needed to get the person who got him off already out of the game to avoid a repeat! Furthering this, his return was a few episodes after Noah's elimination.
Foreshadowing/Tempting Fate: Near the begining, Sierra mentions that each 'Killer' team always loses. Lo and behold, the 'Killer' team in this case ends up with perhaps the most wins, gets all the mega-prizes, four out of the final five are from that team (although one had a return, but that elimination in question was from a vote rigging), and all in all have one elimination ceremony while the other two losses are a removal from injury and a character getting eliminated from a "reward" in the Aftermaths. The other two teams, on the other hand, would have joined Team Victory in being a team to get completely wiped out before the merge if it wasn't for each of them having about an even ammount of fail.
Heroic Sacrifice: Trent at one point. This leads to him getting removed from the game.
Owen's elimination seemed to have been done for either one of two things or both: This trope, by centering Alejandro as the antagonist and possibly foreshadowing his Big Bad role in the second half, or to simply have a reason for Owen to lose early.
Basically, all the pre-merge eliminations in The Screaming Admerals, caused by Duncan.
Last Minute Hook Up: While Trent and Katie and Noah and Izzy have thier ship teases, both pairings completely hook up right before the guy is elimiated.
Love Dodecahedron: So Cody is still friends with Sierra, but still has a crush on Gwen, while Heather is Tsundere for him, as well as Bridgette who likes him, not to mention all the Ship Teases with Courtney.
Non Gameplay Elimination: Trent, getting servearly injured after an attack by Geoff. Along with Tyler and Cody quitting.
The One Guy: Cody and Tyler both become the only male in their repective teams, after every other male suffers elimination. And before, no other female has lost aside from the ones on the third team.
Alejandro is rather hostile towards the end, up to and including breaking Cody's arm as part of a tie-breaker. He may have been season three's Big Bad, but only in terms of manipulation — he never actually played agressive (save for the tie-breaker in Hawaii).
Refuge in Audacity: Alejandro's second elimination. After getting betrayed like in World Tour, he ends up in broken sewer lines, gets crapped on by wolves and Cody Jr (the baby condor from World Tour), and flushed out of the prison (the location for the challenge). It's not over; he arrives after everyone, covered in poop, and hardly gets out a vote for Heather while the girls instantly vote for him.
Ron the Death Eater: In-universe examples. Geoff (Clingy Jealous Guy who has to have Bridgette with him and then starts to go insane), Duncan (Jerkass who pretty much became the antagonist for about the first half), and Alejandro (Another Jerkass who bribes the host to get back into the game, birbes the Skippers to get Noah voted off, and becomes the main antagonist).
Ship Tease: Between Cody and Bridgette, Courtney, Gwen, Heather, and Sierra. He ends up with all five of them.
Shocking Elimination: Alejandro's first elimination, Cody quiting. Even more shocking about the former is that the previous people eliminated were already people getting kicked off early in several fan fics.
Shoo Out the Clowns: 'Comedic' characters such as Owen, Beth, and Ezekiel losing early. Also, Tyler and Lindsay's eliminations are right when things get Darker and Edgier.
Tenchi Solution: Cody with Bridgette, Courtney, Gwen, Heather, and Sierra. The latter, ofallpeople, is the one to suggest this.
WHAM Episode: The third to last chapter pairs, where Cody quits the game.
What Could Have Been: The end of the final chapter notes that this was originaly a World Tour re-write (which looks like it would have the same harem), as well as places not visited: a fictional Lethal Lava Land/Jungle Japes area (as it doesn't exist), the BP oil spill (the idea based on the fic having reward challenges), and re-visits to Drumheller and Niagara Falls (both were cut due to ship route problems).
The Worf Effect: Played for laughs, as in one of the teams every captain is the next one voted off.
Yandere: No, it's not Sierra as what usually happens in anything related to Die for Our Ship. In this case, Geoff is derailed into one after the Disney World challenge.
You Have Out Lived Your Usefulness: Everyone on the Screaming Admerals eventually gets this fate, except Duncan and Gwen who orcastrate all of the other eliminations. Particulary cruel is DJ's, where the two and him are the last ones in the team. Gwen and Duncan deliberatly lose and vote him off just so that they can have the Captains' ship from the merge challenge. As well as Tyler and Lindsay from Alejandro.

Crowning Moment of Awesome: Noah getting Alejandro, the previous season's Big Bad, eliminated third via. tie breaker by a plan timed just right is either this or an Ass Pull, depending on what you think of Alejandro. But still... made better by the previous eliminations being rather predictable.
Bridgette:Third elimiantion? Sounds familiar!
Crowning Moment of Funny: All of the remaining campers instantly voting off Alejandro in his second elimination.
Love It or Hate It: Look at Total Drama's fan fic recc page, and see that this has perhaps one of the longest ammount of comments (along with the Total Drama Comeback series, but those are mostly positive (with one short, unelaborative comment that seems pretty negative), not mixed). Even if you like Cody, you may not like this.
The Justin-Alejandro conflict, ruined just for what will later become the latter's return and a repeat of the whole "Alejandro tries to manipulate everybody off" from last season, made even worse since that Alejandro becoming the generic villain has been done in several other fan fics.
Sadie trying to lead the Skippers, or most of the conflicts with that team in general.
The Total DramaFan Fic Cliché of Beth having a crush on Cody. Instead of her being a contender for his harem, she is simply left to the sidelines and voted off second for having to drop out of a challenge, completly unrelated to what was going on with Cody and more of a way to show Duncan's manipulation. To rub salt into the wound, the author's notes at the end imply that BSM simply doesn't like Cody/Beth, and would rather pair up Cody with five people (at once) instead.
