The Special Administration Zone was established and the Black Knights prepare to disarm. Everything looked like it would turn out for the best until an attack by militant Britannians on the Zone resulted in a massacre of Japanese civilians.

* TrainingFromHell: The regular basic training given to Britannian military recruits alone would have been this for Shirley, however this got taken UptoEleven thanks to her ‘extreme’ drill sergeant [[ANaziByAnyOtherName Rahan Dekerrs]], who went out of his way to 'improve' the regular training regiment. These improvements included, having the recruits survive out in a rebel invested wilderness for a week without tools, equipment or clothes, having the recruits pilot damaged and defective Knightmares through a mined obstacle course, and changed the [[KobayashiMaru Crucible Exercise]] so it would prove legitimately lethal to the unprepared by replacing the opposing teams paint rounds with live ones.

* ANaziByAnyOtherName: Rahan Dekerrs - lets see, extremely casual approach to killing, uses what amounts too a white version of an SS Obersturmbannfuhrer outfit, puts trainees through a withering program [[spoiler: redesigned to kill your empathy]], and sides with the SocialDarwinist Legitimate Britannia group. Though he doesn't believe in racial superiority himself - he's all about Social Darwinism, regardless who the weak and strong are.
* AscendedExtra: Nonette Enneagram had no lines in the original series and her backstory and personality were only elaborated on in side material and the Code Geass game Lost Colors. In this RP she's an active player in the Civil War, being the only person close enough and brave enough to call Cornelia, the "Witch of Britannia" herself, '''''Nellie'''''.

* TanksforNothing: Subverted by Carter mostly, but played straight in most cases. The Britannian Main battle tanks used to support Knightmares are vastly inferior in terms of tech and mobility, but they can still destroy Knightmares provided they can land a hit on them. Carter's experimental tank the "Templar" was a step up from the normal MBT, but ultimately proved not to be all that much effective then the regular tank.

* TookALevelinBadass: In the original series, Shirley Fenette was just a regular, if somewhat spoiled, teenage girl who couldn't do much more then hold a gun before her hands started to shake like she had Parkinson's. After [[spoiler:rediscovering her father was dead, realizing her memories had been tampered with due to being unable to remember important but unpleasant memories from her childhood, and discovering the letter she wrote detailing Lelouch as Zero]] Shirley forged a fake identity, joined the military, persevered through beatings and hazing given to her by fellow recruits, became one of the few survivors of [[ANaziByAnyOtherName Rahan Dekerrs's]] TrainingFromHell, and has since survived being the test pilot for an unstable, death trap of a prototype Knightmare. * CanonImmigrant: Several Knightmares and characters from Oz of the Reflection have shown up in the RP, along with a more detailed version of the Lancelot Club from the Lost Colors PSP game.

* MyCountryRightOrWrong: Taken to a new level by the Legitimate and Conservative Britannia Factions, who both have a different view of how to express their loyalty to their country.
* NewMeat: Zachary Lensman, a minor Legitimate Britannian soldier. Sophia could also count, despite being in the military for a year she doesn't seem to have much field experience.
* ObviouslyEvil: Subverted with Sciro Caligula. Despite his last name being the nickname for infamous Roman emperor [[UsefulNotes/{{Caligula}} Gaius Julius Caesar Germanicus]] and arguably being only slightly more well adjusted then him, Sciro manages to keep up a good image and hide his insanity and thirst for senseless violence under the guise of [[WellIntentionedExtremist trying to ensure a strong Britannia]]. The same could be said to a lesser extent for [[ANaziByAnyOtherName Rahan Dekerrs]].

* {{Pirate}}: [[TheLeader Caius]], [[{{Cloudcuckoolander}} "RJ"]], [[TheSmartGuy Vigil]], and [[TheNewGuy Sol]][[spoiler: accompanied by [[SuperpoweredEvilSide Kite Tide]]]] have been fairly established as Type 2 Pirates. Though they're very serious and aren't above using threats and blackmail to get what they want, they generally try to avoid hurting innocent lives or killing unless it's absolutely necessary. They have no taste in the current political affairs and seem content with playing between the factions for their own monetary gain. Despite not [[DressedToPlunder dressing]] or [[TalkLikeAPirate talking like a proper pirate should]] they seem to enjoy their choice in profession to an almost amusing degree.
* PlayfulHacker: Vigil seems to be one of these.

* SuperPrototype: The 0-Quantum. The Zougan is an aversion in that the Flana Group tried to make it this, only for everything to go horribly wrong.

Despite not being tall, speaking without an accent, and Russia being drastically different in the Code Geass verse ''(no communism, no soviet union, no Lenin or Stalin, est)'' Artyom drinks during ''(or at least before)'' fights and seems to have a prominent love for heavy duty weaponry, especially his [[AceCustom custom]] [[BiggerStick Panzer Hummel]] "Grizzly". [[{{Irony}} Ironically]], the Grizzly is a bear only found in [[ColdWar North America]] or in the Code Geass universe, the [[TheEmpire Britannian Homeland]].
