AKIRA: Tai and the Black Ranger are two cyber punks in Neo Tokyo. After Yukio Oikawa and his crew inject him with something, Tai discovers he has powers even more awesome than digivolving and uses them to kill Joe.
Baccano: Three crazy storylines; in the first, Hikaru Hitachiin is inducted into a mafia family and is friends with Syaoran and Lord Montague. He then meets Eve who is working for Tanaka against her will. In the second, Yoite is a Lovable Coward who is on a train with his friend and fellow bootlegger Yuuko, who is also a Mad Bomber. Meanwhile, Dragon and his fiancee, Mokona are plotting a killing spree, Alphonse is a paranoid survivalist, Yuki is in jail and a cult (which includes his daughter, Belarus) is trying to break him out and they all have to fear a monster that's killing them all (actually Kyo Sohma). Finally, Bardroy's gone missing and his little sister is desperately searching for him. And while all of this is going on, Kyouya and Winry are a pair of screwball thieves who carry their antics throughout all the storylines.
Bleach: Lelouch receives Soul Reaper powers from Yuki Nagato in order to protect his family, but she eventually gets captured by Yang Fang Leiden and Jon Arbuckle. With the help of Hinata, who secretly has a crush on him; Largo, his best friend who fights for his sake; and his rival and friend Vexen; he sets out to rescue her and eventually fight against the evil Karasu.
Later, Hinata gets kidnapped by Karasu and Lelouch has to go into another world to rescue her with the help of Shino, Largo, Yuki, and Jon. He and his allies go up against Karasu's army, including Willam B. Baxter, Gensai, Lust, Lancer, Dean Venture, Jin Kisaragi, Peter Stillman, Venom, Angemon, and Xemnas. When they get in over their head, Apollo sends them some help in the form of Yang, Czar Baldy Bald, Sakura, and Shigemori.
Bleach: Fade to Black, I Call Your Name: The Soul Society has its memories of Yuki erased by Kenshin Himura and Tohru Honda. The only people who remember her are Lelouch and Axel.
Bleach: Hell Verse: Lelouch's little sister Gi is dragged into Hell by Harm, so he joins up with Thor to get her back.
Blood+: After being saved by Itachi, Ashe discovers that she has vampire-like powers and, with the help of her best friend Numbuh One, she must fight her Evil Twin, Haruko.
Buso Renkin: After being killed by a homunculus, Toshiro Hitsugaya is revived by a strange heart implant that doubles as his signature weapon. His partner-in-action, Temari, fights against the homunculi with a series of blades hidden beneath her school uniform.

Card Captor Sakura: When her father Miroku brings home a book from the university he teaches at, Ali O'Keefe accidentally releases the seal on the book's cover and sends the magic cards inside scattering to the winds. Ed, the guardian beast of the cards, tasks her with their recovery, bestowing unto her a magic staff and the ability to manipulate the cards' power. Now, alongside her best friend Kitty 'Shadowcat' Pryde, she tracks down the cards, often butting heads with her rival Shane Yamada-Jones and his childhood friend (/cousin) Princess Celestia, all while trying to keep this new life of hers a secret from her family (consisting of her father, and her brother Eddy) and her crush Edd. In time, she even meets the magician who created the cards, Cell.
Case Closed: Jin, the world's greatest detective, is a victim of a poisoning that turns him into Amy. To maintain a secret identity, he moves in with Monkey D. Luffy, his love interest; and Basque Gran, a slacker detective.
Code Geass: The Black Ranger tries to end the occupation of Japan and build a better world for the sake of Mihoshi after gaining powers from Sakura. This is complicated by the appearance of his old friend Ben Tennyson on the other side.
Cowboy Bebop: The Movie: Starscream must stop a terrorist named Knock Out from setting off a deadly bio-weapon. Jean Grey is connected to Knock Out in a way.
Cyborg 009 (2001 version): Tetsuo Shima leads a Multinational Team of cyborgs to fight against the evil Myotismon. Among his team members are Jin, a hot-blooded punk from New York; Kaoru Kamiya, a French ballerina; Dondochakka, a former legend of the British stage; and Flint, a young baby with incredible psychic powers.
Death Note: Quatre Reberba Winner finds a mystical artifact dropped by Tiger of the Wind that causes people to die if their name is written in it. Gambit, the world's greatest detective, tries to stop him. Eventually, Shampoo gets Quatre to reveal his true identity.
Digimon 02: Juniper Lee is back, this time with her old friend Haruhi, who has matured into Hamrio Musica. Together with Rock Lee, Sara Goodman, and Hiyori, later joined by Uryu Ishida, they fight to yet again save the digital world. A major antagonist is Spike Spiegel, and the final bad guy ultimately ends up being an old friend of Hiyori's father, Lordgenome.
Digimon Tamers: Zetsu was just an Ordinary Elementary School Student until one day he found this strange little device called a D-Arc. That night he dreams of a girl he's never met, Luna Platz, directing Ms. Winston in battle. The next morning, he finds himself following the suddenly active D-Arc's directions through the underbelly of the city of Shinjuku until he came upon a strange, otherworldly creature called a Leeron. Thrust into a world he'd only dreamed of, Zetsu soon meets and befriends Yasoo and his partner Po Kong. Together with Luna and her Winston, the three pairs must protect the all-too-easy-to-misplace Son Goku, the Pesci-impersonating troublemaker Keitaro, and keep on their toes to thwart the dangerous Wolverine.
Dokkoida: Fujiwara no Sai is a college student looking for a job. A young green-haired Hyper Blossom provides him with a Utility Belt that transforms him into a diaper-clad superhero. Unbeknownst to them, the supervillains they're fighting against (as well as Sai and Blossom's rival) are all their neighbors.
ef ~ a tale of melodies: Arawn and Yui grow closer to each other, but he discovers that he's afflicted with a fatal disease and has to break all romantic ties with her. In the not-so-distant past, Tomoya Okazaki chances upon a girl he met long ago, Febronia.
The Enchanted Journey: Eustace, a young chipmunk living in the city with his sister Trixie, is enticed by the words of Citizen Kane, the carrier pigeon, to leave home and find the Great Forest, the true home of chipmunks. Setting off alone, he encounters various friends (such as Mr Magoo the sewer rat) and enemies as he tries to leave the big city and reach his legendary homeland.
Eureka Seven: Izaya Orihara is a young boy who wants to board like his hero Roy Harper, but he's stuck living in a backwoods town with his grandfather Sarutobi. Then one day, a ship piloted by Mai Lee crashlands in his backyard and he falls in love with her. But the crew, which includes Mai Valentine, Gino Weinberg, and Karin Kurosaki wants to make his life a living hell.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Ikkaku Madarame and his younger brother Shura attempt to get their bodies back by using a mysterious stone. For most of the series, Cell is trying to kill them. Also, they eventually run into their father Rattrap.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood: After an attempt to revive their dead mother goes horribly wrong, brothers Mao and Chrona join the military with the help of Ace in order find a mysterious stone to restore their bodies.
And later, Death The Kidd joins their team...at least until a different Mao sticks Schneizel into his body.
Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu: Sergeant Greed causes much insanity in High School, to the chagrin of Nami. Greed occasionally wears small mecha teddy bear Kaorin. Their schoolmates are Yuka, Sakura,Chuu, and Leo. The student council president is Kei Kurano.
Godannar: Gai Daigoji and Menchi get married and use mecha to fight monsters. They live together with his brother Touga. However, things get complicated when his old girlfriend, Hyatt apparently comes back from the dead.
Haibane Renmei: Solty is an angel-like being reborn within a walled city trying to make sense of how she got there or where she came from. Seong Mi-Na, the eldest of these angels, becomes her caretaker.
Adam Cooke works for Vatican special operations group Section XIII Iscariot, lead by Ryotaro Dojima. Cooke fights alongside the androgynous priest Kallen Stadtfeld and the berserker nun Morrigan. Later on Hellsing fights against the Nazi group Millennium, lead by the mad German Gideon.
InuYasha: Ranma Saotome, a half-demon living in Feudal Japan, falls in love with Amanda Sefton, a high school student who finds herself transported back into the past. Along the way, they befriend perverted monk Teru Mikami, mighty demon hunter Barbie (who falls in love with Mikami), and the fox demon Ning. They also frequently encounter Ranma's brother Optimus Prime and the prideful wolf demon Hohenheim. They're doing all of this to stop the demented Matrix.
Kurokami The Animation: Usopp finds and takes pity on a superpowerful young demon named Shin Nohara. Together with Shin and his dog Dean Venture, they have to stop the bad guys.

A Little Snow Fairy Sugar: Orderly 11-year-old Tsukasa Hiiragi has her plans turned upside-down by a little fairy named Tamachan, who has the power to make snow. They are soon joined by wind fairy apprentice Rosemary and sun fairy apprentice Nawaki, and all of them have taken up residence in her home. Part of the problem is that she's the only human around who can see and hear them. The three need to find a "twinkle" in order to become full-fledged season fairies of their respective types, but they cannot find out what it is, and indeed, have different ideas of what it's like... not to mention that Elder General Lee Fishcake isn't helping much, especially given his fixation on the romantic pursuit of full-fledged rain fairy Cybela, who in turn, seems to have an interest in cloud fairy Mao, who just wants to make the perfect cloud. Mixed up in all this craziness are Marguerite's friends Ayame and Haruka Urashima, inventor Iks, and Rich Bitch and self-proclaimed rival Frillish.
Macross: Young civilian pilot Kurz Weber comes to Macross Island upon the requests of his mentor Gai Daigogi to see the launch of the SDF-1 Macross,Captain by Gendo Ikari, however Weber is forces into combat when alien, lead by Dracule Mihawk, attack Macross Island. Weber, however he also has to deal with a love triangle between pop singer Asaka and bridge officer May Chang.
Mnemosyne: Private investigator Eclair and her assistant Aki Hinata happen to be an immortal couple.
Monster: Coyote Starrk is an insane mass murderer, and Nightcrawler is the man dedicated to bringing him to justice. Seijuro Hiko is the man dedicated with bringing Nightcrawler to justice.
My-HiME: Nobue Ito, Kurapika and Miu Matsuoka are among a dozen girls given the ability to summon powerful magical creatures in a battle against shadowy demons threatening them and the lives of their loved ones.
In the case of the Fox dub, it's Angelica and Kiki having strange and wonderful adventures when they move to the country with their Rapping Dog father.
Pokémon (Diamond and Pearl): April (now Alicia), still aspiring to become a Pokemon master, is joined by Shinobu, and Kaiba (now Tanaka Soichiro) in the Sinnoh region. They make sure to prevent Koyuki Asagiri, Lt. Toudou, and Vector the Crocodile from stealing Pokemon. Eventually, the trio fight an even greater crime syndicate headed by Goku.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Squid Girl was contacted by a distant Nanoha Takamachi to never become a Magical Girl... until she met both Ritsu Tainaka and her fellow Magical GirlCasca. Squid Girl almost considers becoming one until Casca got her head chomped off. Later on, Casca's shoes were filled by a cynical Litchi Faye-Ling while Ritsu starts showing off much more sinister agenda while Nanoha hunts her down. Squid Girl's friend Peacock also becomes a Magical Girl that spirals down in despair to become a witch that had to be killed by Litchi's sacrifice. Nanoha failed her job and Squid Girl makes a drastic decision...
Sakura Diaries: High School Graduate Shinichi Asakura seeks to enter a prestigious university, but ends up in a triangle between classy beauty Hyatt and his cute cousin Ringo Seto.
Sailor Moon: Cheer Bear is an ordinary girl who can transform into the show's namesake. Eventually, she meets other women who fight alongside her (Courtney, Julie, Megaman, Yin, etc.), as well as meeting her love interest Zexion (who himself has a Secret alter ego) and her future daughter Tami.
Shakugan no Shana: Radu discovers to his horror that the world isn't what it seemed, and is rescued by Rarity from being eaten, who callously informs him that he is basically a zombie. Rarity is contractually bound to slay Crimson Lords by the Juggernaut, with whom she is able to communicate through the pendant she wears. Feldt Grace is Radu's classmate, and has a crush on him. Orange Blossom is a Hard Drinking Party Girl who casts spells using nursery rhymes, whenever she isn't telling her book Hot Dog to shut up. Pepper Potts, Rarity's former caretaker, attempts to kill Radu until Rarity interferes.
Welcome to the NHK: Yuichi Aizawa is a shut-in who believes that he's the victim of a conspiracy. His Otaku neighbour Pope Alessandro XVIII and Kouko Ibuki (a girl claiming to be working for a charity project) try to pull Yuichi out of his rut. In time, Yuichi is drawn into an ultimately botched suicide pact by Kirino Chiba, and, later, into a pyramid scheme by Stocking.

Yu-Gi-Oh!: Knuckles The Echidna, former pharaoh of Egypt, is reincarnated in the body of Nezumi, who solved his puzzle. Together with Nezumi's friends Michaelangelo, Yusei Fudo, and Max, and Knuckles's rival Brock, they play children's card games. Michaelangelo has a romantic subplot with Rangiku Matsumoto. All of the good guys join forces to ultimately take down JACK ATLAS.
Yu-Gi-Oh! GX: Zero enrolls into a duelist academy, where he becomes friends with Fred Jones and King Dedede, as well as finding rivals in Casey Jones and Gonard. Eventually, he battles Kuina and discovers she was his best friend in his past life. Finally, he battles against Grovyle.
