Go To

Bohman launches a fierce attack against Playmaker and inflicts a huge amount of damage to him. However, Playmaker's fighting spirit still does not waver. In order to achieve victory, he attempts to break up the vicious Hydradrive monsters' formation. However, Bohman then does something unexpected...

This episode contains the following tropes:

  • Crazy-Prepared: As noted by Bohman, Playmaker sent Clock Wyvern to the Graveyard during the second turn in the previous episode, brought it back on the sixth turn, and used it to Fusion Summon Cyberse Clock Dragon and ultimately win the Duel.
  • Deliberate Injury Gambit: Bohman pays 400 LP via Hydradrive Cycle's Effect, bringing it down to 650, so that he can achieve the prerequisite for activating Storm Access.
  • Heal Thyself: Playmaker activates Link Ration, restoring his LP by 1000 and barely escaping defeat at Bohman's hands, and is left with 100 LP.
  • Loophole Abuse: Bohman somehow manages to activate a Skill (which turns out to be Storm Access, of all things) during a Master Duel, even though they are generally present only in Speed Duels. Lampshaded by Playmaker.
Playmaker: It's possible to use a Skill during a Master Duel?
  • Mythology Gag: Bohman uses "Half-shut", a card used by Yusei in "5D's" era.
  • No-Sell: Hydradrive Lord, equipped with Hydradrive Accelerator, is unaffected by Spells and Traps, and prevents his other Monsters from being targeted by Effects.
  • This Cannot Be!: Bohman and Haru are equally shocked when Playmaker summons Cyberse Clock Dragon, having no clue that Cyberse Fusion Monsters exist.
  • Villain: Exit, Stage Left: Playmaker defeats Bohman, but the later gets away scot-free thanks to the unknown figure, and doesn't get the opportunity to hand over Jin Kusanagi's consciousness as he initially promised.
  • Wham Shot: Bohman activating Storm Access during a Master Duel.
