- A Day in the Limelight: Naoki Shima, who becomes determined to protect the netizens of LINK VRAINS from the Knights of Hanoi, gets a good share of focus this episode.
- Freeze-Frame Bonus: As Cyberse Wizard is installed into Naoki's Duel Disk, the Monster's characteristics are also listed on the Duel Disk's screen in English.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: The Knight of Hanoi takes 3000 damage by Soul Charge's effect just to Special Summon three copies of Steelswarm Mantis from the Graveyard and use them as Tributes to Tribute Summon Steelswarm Hercules. It becomes his undoing after Lonely Brave draws Cyberse Wizard and uses its effect to inflict piercing damage and defeat him.
- Hostage Situation: Faust holds Naoki captive so the former can lure Playmaker into LINK VRAINS and capture Ai.
- The Magic Poker Equation: Averted. Not everyone who has a full on-screen duel has the blessing of this advantage. Both Naoki and the Knight of Hanoi open with a terrible draw, and the next couple cards they draw only make the hand salvageable but not stellar.
- Saying Too Much: Faust overhears Naoki boasting about being Playmaker's supposed chosen one, then punches him in the gut and holds him hostage.
- Wall of Text: Lonely Brave stammers as he struggles to and slowly reads through Cyberse Wizard's effect, until his AI does the explaining for him.
