While at the museum they meet an Egyptian man, Shadi, who notices Yugi's Millennium Puzzle and conducts a "Trial of the Mind" to determine if he is worthy of beholding the artifact. Although the challenges are deadly Yugi and his friends, through their bond, are able to pass the trials and claim the Millennium puzzle for themselves.
