Panda uses an app to find a friend, Tom, with whom he has more common with. Soon things take a turn for the worse when the new friend gets too possessive.

- Abduction Is Love: Non-romantic example, Tom kidnaps Panda (and somehow his entire room) and traps him in his apartment so they can be BFF's.
- Accidental Misnaming: When Tom joins the bears for pizza, he calls Grizz "Griff".
- Addictive Foreign Soap Opera: One of the things Tom and Panda have in common is a love for My Sassy Heart, a Korean soap opera.
- Bland-Name Product: The Bears are seen looking for something to watch on "Cineweb".
- Check, Please!: Grizzly asks for the check when he gets tired of hearing Tom and Panda geek out over My Sassy Heart.
- Dating Service Disaster: Again, non-romantic example. The app Panda uses is an online matchmaker for finding friends. Panda and Tom hit off incredibly well at first due to shared interests, but Tom later turns out to be obsessive and clingy.
- Fan Convention: At the beginning Panda wants to go to an anime convention but Grizz and Ice bear would rather go to a meat convention. Panda eventually goes with Tom to the anime convention.
- Heel Realization: Tom realizes he was being obsessive after Panda gives him a good talking-to.
- I Need to Go Iron My Dog:
- Grizzly says he'd go to AnimeCon with Panda when he's "less busy".Panda: Dude, you're not doing anything.
Grizzly: I'm... drinking this royal milk tea. - After Tom kidnaps Panda and locks the front door of his apartment, Panda excuses himself to use the bathroom, then escapes out the window.

- Mirror Self: Tom is essentially the human version of Panda, only more clingy. Later, Tom ends up with human versions of Grizz and Ice Bear.
- Not Distracted by the Sexy: The waitress whom Panda was trying to ask out previously approaches him and asks if he wants her number, but Panda is too occupied with Tom to pay attention to her.
- Waking Up Elsewhere: Panda goes to sleep in his room, wakes up, and is shocked to find that he's in Tom's apartment.
