Prom Wrecker
Tori learns Hollywood Arts never had a prom, so she hosts one there called a "Prome", but it fell on the same date Jade had to do a performance and thus she vows revenge.
Meanwhile, Tori's friends all have prom incidents of their own: Andre's girlfriend cannot stop kissing him, Robbie thinks Cat is lying about her date, and Trina begs everyone to elect her prom queen.
Tropes:
- All There in the Script: Andre's girlfriend is named Sherry.
- Black Comedy Rape: Jade was carried off by a grown man in a diaper.
- Cassandra Truth: Cat and Robbie's side of the story revolves around this.
- Continuity Snarl: Jade mentions at the start that Hollywood Arts never had a prom before, but in "Pilot", Rex and Cat have a conversation over Cat not being asked to a prom, which was most likely at Hollywood Arts.
- The Cuckoolander Was Right: Cat was not lying about her date named Tug, but it isn't until Robbie leaves that he finally shows up.
- Girlfriend in Canada: Robbie wants to be Cat's prom date, but she rejects him because she was already asked by a guy named Tug, who comes from another school. He turns out to be real. Robbie doesn't believe her, but it turns out he does indeed exist.
- Impossible Theft: Inverted. Jade somehow manages to get a shrimp, quite deeply, into Tori's bra without her even noticing.
- Insistent Terminology: It's "Prome", not prom.Jade: [in a Southern Belle accent] Uh-oh! Looks like Tori Vega's prom has turned into one big bobbity-boo!Tori: Prome!
- Insult Backfire:Tori: You're sick! You are a sick person!Jade: You're only just now figuring that out?
- Jerkass Ball: Even though it was Sikowitz's fault, Tori doesn't seem the least bit sorry that Jade's play, which clearly meant a lot to her, got canceled and doesn't even try to compromise like delaying the prom till an hour after Jade's play ends.
- Laser-Guided Karma: Jade gets her comeuppance for ruining the prome when Tori elects her the prom queen (when it was really Trina who won), and Doug the Diaper Guy as the king.
- Missed Him by That Much: Robbie ditches Cat right before Tug actually shows up.
- Nominated as a Prank: Tori gets back at Jade for ruining the prom by naming her Prom Queen (the real winner was Trina), with Doug the Diaper Guy as her King.
- Only One Finds It Fun: Cat and Tug are apparently the only ones who enjoyed Doug the Diaper Guy.
- Pet the Dog: Despite his failure to get her elected Prom Queen, Trina dances with Sinjin at the prom anyway. He also holds his coat over her head when it starts raining.
- Prom Wrecker: The TropeNamer.
- Real After All: Tug turns out to indeed exist.
- Riddle for the Ages: How did Jade get that shrimp into Tori's bra? Tori even lampshades it.Tori: How did she do it?!
- Rigged Contest: Trina bribes Sinjin with a pity date to rig the voting for the Prome Queen so she'll win. Unfortunately, she loses because Tori ignores the results to get back at Jade.
- Rooftop Concert: The episode ends with one, even continuing into the rain.
- Running Gag: Andre constantly getting kissed by his date.
- Revenge: Jade was furious when the prome was scheduled for the same day as her performance and had to cancel it, and gets back at Tori by sabotaging the prome.
- Rule of Three:
- Jade messes with the prom three times: she plays a scary movie, cancels the band, and hires Doug the Diaper Guy to steal the dance floor.
- Cat spills about Tug's incidents three times before Robbie leaves her.
- Three characters should a disbelieving "What?!" (Jade, Trina and Sinjin) after Tori rigs the Prom Queen voting to get back at Jade.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Annoyed with Cat's stories about Tug one too many, Robbie bails on her for the rest of the prom, unaware she was telling the truth.
- Shout-Out: When Robbie ditches Cat, he goes, "Goodnight! I said, ''goodnight!''"
- "Shut Up" Kiss: Every time Andre's girlfriend kisses him.
- Unstoppable Rage: Jade completely loses it when the prom is booked on the same night she is to do her play and had to cancel.
- Voice Changeling: Jade was able to imitate Tori's voice perfectly when she phoned the band to cancel.
- Written-In Absence: Beck is absent due to visiting Canada.
