Syu Un Syou and Ken San Un are revealed to be allies summoned by Kichou to join Tan Hi and a reluctant Syou Fu Kan as they journey to the Seven Sins Tower in the Demon Spine Mountains where the Onyx Demons dwell. Kichou explains that in order to get past the barrier surrounding the mountains and reach the tower, they must overcome three different obstacles, one of which requires the assistance of a demon necromancer named Kei Gai, who resides in the Night Devil Forest. The next day, the group heads into the forest to seek out Kei Gai, who believes them to be trespassers and attacks them with an army of zombies, which Tan Hi and Ken fend off while the other three press forward.

- Everything's Deader with Zombies: You have a demoness necromancer and a valley full of zombies that serves as the first obstacle for the Seven Sins Tower.
- Love at First Sight: Ken San Un's heart literally flew out of the window the moment he met Tan Hi for the first time.
- Necromancer: Kei Gai's demonic arts give her command over the dead. Most if not all of Kei Gai's magic requires corpses to use and she is instrumental in safely passing the Valley of the Dead.
- Ship Tease: Ken starts off flirting with Tan Hi when he first meet her. She hides part of face with one of her sleeves to hide her expression.
