* ForWantOfANail:
** Lisa only had to take the bus because Bart glued comedy props to his face and Marge has to take him to hospital to get them removed... when it turned out all Bart needed to do was ''sweat''.
** Lisa wouldn't have gotten lost if she had checked which buses were running that day, as she would have found another way to get to the museum.
** It was also very lucky for Homer that he and Lisa spotted each other before the cherry picker went out of control.

I removed the reference to Marge thinking Bart ate some of the glue. The scene simply had Marge read the label on the glue which said, “In case of accidental ingestion, consult a mortician.” It wasn’t suggested that she believed he had eaten any of it, merely that the glue itself was dangerous.

** Bart, for gluing comedy props to his face so they won't fall off. Partly defied when he says he didn't eat any of the glue when Marge thinks he did.

Added DiffLines:

* AngryItemTapping: Lisa tries to take a bus to the Springsonian Museum, but when she tries to talk with the bus driver, Larry, [[CantYouReadTheSign he silently taps the sign overhead which reads "Do Not Talk To Driver"]]. When she sees that she's lost, she tries to ask him for help, only for him to say "Don't make me tap the sign". [[MemeticMutation The scene is often edited to instead say whatever point the poster wants to make online]].

* LanguageBarrier: Lisa is lost in Springfield's Russian district and tries to ask two men who are playing chess for some help. They actually try to help her, except the aggressive way they speak in Russian scares her off.

I think this counts as a character reaction

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: While Lisa and Bart are typically FreeRangeChildren to the extent the plot requires, this episode has 8-year-old Lisa attempting an unsupervised bus trip and getting lost due to her cluelessness about how Springfield's public transport system works, despite her high intelligence.

Added DiffLines:

* PlanesTrainsAndImbeciles: When Lisa accidentally gets on the wrong bus and realises too late, all the bus driver does is tap a sign that says "Do not talk to driver", even though Lisa is clearly lost and frightened. Making this much worse, the bus driver essentially kicks her out in the middle of nowhere and drives off, despite Lisa asking for help way before that point.
