When the Mayor’s toaster breaks, he asks the Professor to fix it. While he’s waiting at the lab, he accidentally discovers the Professor's secret stash of Chemical X. Believing it's a hair growth formula and using it on himself, the Mayor grows to gigantic proportions.

Tropes:

  • Affectionate Gesture to the Head: Done by the Professor to the Mayor to console him about the broken toaster.
  • Agony of the Feet: The giant Mayor first hurts his foot when attempting to kick down a rail bridge, and then gets a steel beam dropped onto it.
  • Are We There Yet?: A variation, the Mayor keeps asking the professor if the toaster is fixed over and over.
  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: Attack of the 50 Foot Mayor.
  • Flanderization: The Mayor is more immature than usual in this episode. He almost exclusively talks in the third-person, throws tantrums over not getting what he wants, and the other characters end up treating him no differently from an actual child.
  • I'm a Doctor, Not a Placeholder: Professor Utonium’s reaction when the mayor wants him to fix his broken toaster; “I’m a scientist, not a repairman.”
  • It's Quiet… Too Quiet: The Professor gets suspicious when the Mayor stays quiet for way too long.
  • "King Kong" Climb: The giant Mayor climbs a tall building like King Kong, with Mrs. Bellum in his hand.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: The Mayor getting shocked by the wire on top of the train along with him getting injured throughout a few minutes, then finally being left trapped on top of a tall building once he returns to his normal size can count due to his selfish and bratty attitude. He also loses the hair he got.
  • Make My Monster Grow: What Chemical X does to the Mayor.
  • Magic Pants: The Mayor's clothes grow with him.
  • Manchild: The episode takes this trait of the Mayor's up to eleven for the sake of the plot.
  • Obliviously Evil: The giant Mayor has no idea how much harm his actions cause to Townsville and its citizens.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: When the Professor finally gets fed up by the Mayor’s Manchild antics, he openly calls him out on it and finishes by calling the Mayor a baby. It doesn’t end well.
  • What Does This Button Do?: Said word for word by the Mayor, just before he pushes a button that clearly has a label that says “do not touch!” above it. It causes a massive explosion.

After stealing a tangerine and watching it split up into different pieces, the Amoeba Boys learn how to multiply and make duplicates of themselves.

Tropes:

  • An Aesop:
    • The things you are taught can be unexpectedly useful to you in the future. Don't take any type of lessons you are taught for granted.
    • Pay attention in class.
  • And There Was Much Rejoicing: The Amoeba Boys are more than happy that the girls are after them, since it means they finally made it big as criminals.
  • "Eureka!" Moment: The Amoeba Boys get the idea to multiply from seeing an orange they stole earlier fall into pieces.
  • Everybody Hates Mathematics: Buttercup surely does.
  • Foreshadowing: The wanted poster of the Rowdyruff Boys shows them with their new hair styles from after HIM resurrected them, which will not happen for at least 2 more episodes.
  • Fusion Dance: The girls force all the Amoeba boys and their clones to recombine into one, restoring them to just the original 3.
  • Send in the Clones: The Amoeba Boys find out how they can make many copies of themselves.
  • "Wanted!" Poster: Sedusa, The Rowdyruff Boys, and the Gangrene Gang all have cameos this way at the start of the episode. By the end of the episode, the Amoeba boys get their own, much to their joy. Unfortunately for them, they quickly get pasted over with posters of Mojo Jojo.
