- Aside from greeting each other with their usual insults, Shay and Mackenzie are unusually civil to one another, watching the pageant together and mostly being fairly chill about it. Mackenzie even comments that she thinks Mikayla has the competition in the bag. Their sisters aren't competing against each other (Kaitlyn being too young for the Little Miss Overland Park title and being in the Tots section instead), which probably helps.
- Mikayla is very nice to Brooklyn despite them competing against one another, even complimenting her talent routine. A previous episode mentioned the girls are friends.
