Mr. Krabs gets trapped in Bikini Bottom's new bank. It's going to be up to SpongeBob and Patrick to save him.

"Safe Deposit Krabs" contains example of:

  • Department of Redundancy Department: The Bank of Bikini Bottom Bank.
  • Disguised in Drag: One of Mr. Krabs' schemes to get into the vault.
  • Growing Muscles Sequence: Mr Krabs briefly gains one when fighting a vacuum cleaner.
  • Irony: SpongeBob thinks Mr. Krabs was running out of oxygen despite the show taking place underwater.
  • Money Fetish: This time around, Mr. Krabs' greed doesn't affect the Krusty Krab.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: Mr. Krabs' first disguise consists of nothing more than a fake mustache. Unsurprisingly, the bank teller isn't fooled and calls security to throw him out.
  • Running Gag: Mr. Krabs getting tossed out of the bank by security.
  • Sanity Slippage: Happens to Mr. Krabs while stuck in the safe due to the lack of oxygen causing him to hallucinate.
  • Spit Take: Mr. Krabs does this when he finds out that the new bank gives free interest to the first hundred customers who bank with them. Patrick does this later when SpongeBob asks him to help break into the bank.
  • Time-Passage Beard: Mr. Krabs imagines himself with one when he's trapped in the bank vault.

After another failed attempt for the formula, Plankton decides that he wants a pet to help him.

"Plankton's Pet" contains example of:

  • All Animals Are Dogs: Spot behaves like one.
  • Badass Adorable: Spot, who proves how tough he is near the end of the episode.
  • Black Comedy: The beginning, when Mr Krabs beat up a baby robot made by Plankton.
  • Didn't See That Coming: When Plankton is explaining to Spot that security in the Krusty Krab is tight, Spot goes to the Krusty Krab and brings back a Krabby Patty.
Plankton: Holy Plot Twist! It's a Krabby Patty!
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Plankton does truly love Spot.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Before learning its really a robot piloted by Plankton, everyone including Squidward is horrified by Mr. Krabs' manhandling a baby.
  • Eye Pop: Plankton's eye pops out when he sees that Spot has brought back a Krabby Patty.
  • Gross Gum Gag: Plankton thinks his new pet amoeba, Spot, ran away, he and SpongeBob ask a random fish if they've seen him. The fish asks if the chewed wad of gum on his shoe is Spot, then puts it in his mouth when Plankton tells him it's gum.
Fish: Gum? I've been looking everywhere for this!
  • No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Mr Krabs gets one after beating a "baby."
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: Mr Krabs totally knew it was Plankton as a baby trying to steal the formula.
  • Pet the Dog: For Plankton. Even when Spot eats the Krabby Patty he stole, Plankton can't stay mad at him.
    • As Plankton thinks he and SpongeBob are about to be killed, he thanks SpongeBob for helping him try to find Spot.
  • Ridiculously Cute Critter: Spot.
  • Running Gag: A group of fish going "Awww" to Plankton.
  • Stealth Pun:
Plankton: It's like taking candy from a baby—with a baby.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: The episode ends on a high note for Plankton for a change. He gets a pet that he loves and after losing him, finds him at the end of the episode.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: After Mr. Krabs throws Plankton in his baby bot back to the Chum Bucket in front of some women, they mistake it for a real baby and attack him.
