- Mistaken for Racist: When Penny's things fall out of her backpack, Rocky and Billy don't hesitate to pick them up for her. She assumes (rather irritably) that they are only doing this because she is blind. If she knew them better, she'd know that Billy and Rocky would do this for anyone.
- Paper-Thin Disguise: Bulk and Skull throughout the episode, and only Lt. Stone fell for them. Even Penny can smell them.
- Pulling Themselves Together: Defector assembles by having his body parts literally grab a hold of each other and come together.
