Divatox takes advantage of a fashion rivalry developed between Ashley and Cassie.
Tropes
- An Aesop: If an offer seems too good to be true, than it usually is. Trust your instincts and don’t get involved.
- Break the Cutie: Ashley is seen crying a little after the brainwashed rangers refuse to help her with fending off the pirates. Alpha is quick to snap her out of it.
- Hate Plague: Anyone who wears Divatox's versions of Ashley's jackets end up being cruel, bitter and hateful jerks, including the Rangers. It's only when they're taken off do they regain their sanity.
- Invisibility: Bulk and Skull use it to their advantage in raiding picnic baskets and putting on magic shows until it wears off while stealing food at the Juice Bar.
- Old Shame: A student in home economics praises Ashley's jacket but Ashley herself considers it an old shame. Cassie points out later that maybe the student in question was just social faking.
- Time Skip: We can probably assume this happened given that the new team is already established with no signs of growing pains and the fact that they treat the Blue Senturion like an old friend despite no prior interaction with him (he wasn’t in either part of "Passing the Torch").
