As Daggeron becomes the Rangers' new mentor, tensions arise between him and Xander, who believes he is being treated unfairly. While Daggeron drops the Rangers off in a magical dimension for more training, he deals with the Monster of the Week on his own.
Tropes
- Brought Down to Normal: Daggeron takes the Rangers' morphers when he brings them to the dimension of Shalifar.
- Cool Train: The episode introduces the Solar Streak.
- Everything Trying to Kill You: Implied about Shalifar.Jenji: You can't leave them here, what will they eat? More to the point, what will eat them?
- Fastball Special: Xander uses his new Mystic Muscles to throw the other four Rangers at the Monster of the Week.
- I Always Wanted to Say That: Chip does this again, this time yelling "All aboard!" as the Rangers board the Solar Streak.
- Only Sane Man: Xander certainly comes off this way while the rest of the Rangers are mucking around with "nature's maracas" and dancing.
- Our Giants Are Bigger: The team encounters a giant on Shalifar who kidnaps all of them except Xander.
- Right Behind Me: While Xander is venting his frustrations with Daggeron to the rest of the team, Daggeron walks up behind him.
- Sink or Swim Mentor: Daggeron drops the Rangers off in a dangerous alternate dimension and makes them find their only way out, a ticket for the Solar Streak, on their own and without their morphers.
- This Looks Like a Job for Aquaman: Notably, this is the one time "Plan Xander" actually works, since the giant is willing to listen to reason and is not actually evil, just hungry.
- Transforming Mecha: The Solar Streak also happens to be Daggeron's Megazord.
- You No Take Candle: The Monster of the Week speaks like this.
