Recap / Power Rangers Dino Supercharge S2E10 Gone Fishin'

Go To

Riley and the others have been invited on a fishing trip with Riley's brother Matt. Tyler, Ivan and Kendall opt to stay behind and watch for monsters while the others have fun. Chase seems to be having no luck with fish despite his lucky hat, while Koda is able to catch two big trout barehanded, to the amusement of Shelby. Riley keeps on trying to turn things into a competition, causing him to butt heads with his older brother, who simply wants to enjoy the moment. Fed up with Riley's competitiveness, he heads into the lake on his own.

James and Prince Philip return to the base to update Kendall on their progress. Despite Philip's immense resources and wealth, his team have been unable to find any trace of the Silver Energem anywhere on Earth. While the rangers wonder where exactly the Energem would be if not on Earth, an alien object is tracked coming from space. It crash-lands in the forest, and the five head there to investigate. The object turns out to be a 'message in a bottle' from the Silver Ranger himself, who has been protecting the Energem off-world; but the distance between him and the Titano Zord has caused the Zord to deactivate. Before his message can tell them where ''exactly' he is, it is cut off by Singe and the other generals, who have traced the message as well. The five rangers morph and battle the outlaws, and Singe quietly notes to Fury that they don't need the message to find the Titano Zord. The outlaws recruit master fisherman Hookbeard to destroy the Titano Zord with his electric fishing rod, since the Zord is located at the bottom of a lake. The same lake Matt and co are fishing in...

Matt's boat is attacked by Hookbeard, sending him overboard. Riley and the others spot the charred boat and start looking for him, when they receive a phone call from him. Matt tells them that he is in some sort of cave, and must have been hit by lightning, but the strangest thing is that the cave is moving. He sends the group a photo of the cave wall, revealing the emblem of the Titano Zord.

With the location of the Zord now in their hands, the team race off to rescue Matt, save for Kendall who is working with Keeper to forge a Titano Charger. The eight battle against the outlaws to defend the Zord, but Tyler is separated from the rest by Hookbeard, and ambushed by Fury. Armed with both his sword and Singe's blaster, Fury has Tyler on the ropes, but Keeper intervenes and blocks his attacks. Fury retreats, allowing Keeper to lift the lake water into a pocket portal above to unearth the Zord. The rangers use their combined power to defeat Hookbeard, but Snide enlarges him, forcing the team to awaken the Titano Zord to defend itself. Using the power of all ten Chargers, the Zord awakens, releasing Matt into the waiting arms of his little brother. Riley, having demorphed to sell the idea he is not a ranger, helps Matt to safety while the rest of the team head into the Zord to activate it. The Titano Zord is incredibly powerful, utilizing the Chargers to great effect, and its Megazord formation is even more formidable, easily taking hits from Hookbeard with nary a scratch. Armed with the powerful Titan Axe, the Titano Charge Megazord is able to crush Hookbeard with ease.

Back at base, Keeper and the rangers confer over what to do now that the location of the Energems is known. James reveals that he is going to spend his time locating Snide's base, while Philip works on trying to locate the Silver Ranger. They all agree on one thing; Snide must be defeated to protect the Energems. Meanwhile, Riley and Matt have a heart to heart, admitting that it is ok to have fun in different ways, and that he is grateful to Riley and the rangers for saving him.

On the flip side, Heckyl confronts Singe, asking him how he knew where the Titano Zord was if he didn't have any information. While Snide was fooled into believing him, Heckyl doesn't believe Singe's lies, and the two exchange energy blasts, before Singe retreats. Fury asks what just transpired, and Heckyl confirms to him his suspicions: Singe works for someone else and has been keeping tabs on both him and Fury. Heckyl orders Fury to destroy Singe if he sees him again, an order Fury would happily carry out.

The message is destroyed by Singe before they can find its location, but it turns out Singe already knew where the zord was....at the lake where the other rangers are. After a fierce battle, the rangers revive the zord, and Heckyl, not being as single minded as Snide, asks Singe how he knew where the zord was. Only saying that his boss is far more evil than he can imagine, Singe retreats back into space, Heckyl giving Fury new orders: destroy Singe on sight.
