Chapter Two of POST-MU Life's a Scream!
Two weeks later, a newcomer that will change Squishy's life forever arrived. Laura Sharp, the daughter of renowned Scarer Fillmore Sharp, transferred from rival university Fear Tech to pursue her studies in Monsters University, and to fulfill her dreams of breaking the all time Scare Record like her heroine Dean Hardscrabble. In her rush not to be late on her first day of class, Laura flew a scene of chaos through Monsters University all the way to the School of Scaring after receiving directions from Johnny Worthington of the ROR Fraternity. Little did she know that the four female Monsters she has accidentally bumped into will eventually play an important role in her University life in the far future.
Interrupting Professor Knight's class, Laura was indirectly introduced to the members of the OK Fraternity. Squishy, while having his answer interrupted by her, was instantaneously mesmerized by her awestruck beauty. So much that he accidentally gave the wrong answer to Professor Knight's question. The kind and vibrant Professor welcomed Laura to his class warmly, and by chance Laura got her first time experience of her heroine Dean Hardscrabble, who stopped by for a casual inspection of the class. Quipping that she expected the new cohort of Scaring students to "surprise" her, the Dean cast a personal glance over to the OK Fraternity and most importantly, to Laura Sharp, when Professor Knight mentioned her presence.
After the Dean has left, Laura sensed a presence of a Monster sitting somewhere behind her. Turning around, she discovered a pencil writing on a piece of paper with no one in sight. The invisible Monster revealed himself as Randall Boggs, and Laura was briefly awed by his skills of invisibility before he vanished again.
Later that night, Mike and Sulley as well as the whole of the OK Fraternity decided to steal Archie the Scare Pig again from Fear Tech. They succeeded in their task, and promptly brought Archie back to Frat Row to impress the Fraternities and Sororities there. However, Archie managed to free himself by chance and escaped into Frat Row, with the OK Fraternity hot in pursuit.
Laura, who was studying at that time of the night in her dorm room, heard Archie's noises and gave chase too, yet unknowingly causing chaos in Frat Row yet again, and mishaps to four female Monsters again in particular. Finally coming up with a plan to trap the Scare Pig, Laura enlisted the help of Squishy and directed him the appropriate instructions, resulting in Archie's capture. The Scare Pig refused to give in, making a dash for freedom again, he was fearfully roared into submission by Laura. Revealing herself to be the ex-caretaker of Archie the Scare Pig while in Fear Tech, Laura was officially introduced to the members of the OK Fraternity, as well as her heroes Mike and Sulley.
Problems soon cropped up as Rosie Levin and Carla Delgado both wanted Laura to join their own sororities, only to be interrupted by Johnny Worthington who made a beeline for Laura, with his own Fraternity not far behind. Rather bluntly stating that she has caught his eye and he was seriously (and romantically) interested in her, Johnny was timely interrupted by the OK Fraternity, saving Laura from further embarrassment. Forgetting about the ROR president, Laura expressed her admiration and respect for the OK Fraternity, who introduced themselves respectively to the daughter of Fillmore Sharp. After a short but polite conversation with the OK Fraternity, Laura took her leave, and in her absence was left quite a number of male monsters who were seriously attracted to her character, including Johnny and Squishy.
After exchanging barbs of conversation with each other, the ROR and OK Fraternities parted ways again, with Johnny intent on winning Laura's heart quite clear to Squishy.
