Ash, Iris, and Cilan come across a Daycare where the students are in revolt. Their teacher doesn't like the Trubbish that they rescued from the dump. Can they figure out a way to get the stinky Pokémon to come out smelling like roses?

- Call-Back: The title reminiscents of a Season 1 episode a decade and a half earlier, when Ash's Squirtle joined the party. Coincidentally, it's also the 12th episode of the season.
- Continuity Nod: Ash instantly recognizes Trubbish's Toxic Spikes, having had to deal with it during his Sinnoh League battle with Paul.
- Egg MacGuffin: The daycare teacher rewards Ash with a Pokémon Egg that will eventually hatch into Scraggy.
- Friend to All Children: Ash is very much exemplified as one by getting along so well with the other children at the Day Care.
