Lloyd ends up getting captured by the Serpentine as the Ninja are planning a rescue team for him. Once again, they got help from the one and only Samurai X.
This episode provides examples of:
- The Bad Guy Wins: Pythor unites the Serpentine tribes, becomes the official leader of the Serpentine, and begins his hunt for the Fangblades, capturing Lloyd as well for good measure.
- Costume Evolution: As of this episode the Ninja upgrade from their training gi to their ZX gi, adding armor elements (gold for Kai and Zane; silver for Jay and Cole) to their costumes.
- Don't Look At Me:Samurai X: Steer clear, ninja. Don't look... (takes off helmet revealing it's Nya) at me.
- Put on a Bus: After this episode, Lloyd takes a two-episode hiatus due to his capture by the Serpentine.
- Samus Is a Girl: Samurai X's true identity is revealed to be none other than Nya, though only Kai (and implicitly Wu) finds out.
