"Space Walkies" is the tenth season 2 short of the new Mickey Mouse (2013) series created by Paul Rudish for the Disney Channel and Disney.com. It's the 28th to air on the Disney Channel and put up on Disney.com.

Pluto has a Potty Emergency at the absolute worst possible time.

Tropes:

  • 2D Visuals, 3D Effects: Mickey's spaceship, and the space station where Pluto does his business.
  • Calling Your Bathroom Breaks: Mickey makes a beeline for the outhouse the moment they land on Earth.
News Reporter: You must be relieved!
Mickey: Not yet, but I will be!
  • The Cameo: Chip 'n Dale are piloting the little flying saucer Mickey used to get Pluto's attention. It causes more problems.
  • Chekhov's Gun: The gravity well and the doggie biscuits.
  • Chekhov's Skill: Pluto's doggie-biscuit-fetching technique.
  • Conveniently Close Planet: Pluto ends up taking Mickey planet-hopping through the Solar System. And Mickey also gets visited by the (former) planet Pluto.note
  • Creator Cameo: Once again, Paul Rudish is credited in the cast.
  • Dangerous Forbidden Technique: Mickey and Pluto have to encounter the gravity well as their only hope to get back to their ship.
  • Easter Egg: Mickey's rocket has the letters TVA on it. TVA is the abbreviation of (Disney) Television Animation, the studio that made this very short. It's also a reference to Trans World Airlines (TWA), whose nearly-identical logo appeared on the fuselage of the Moonliner at Disneyland's Rocket to the Moon attraction, on which Mickey's rocket is based.
  • Furry Confusion: An anthro dog is manning the space station and tells Mickey to get his non-anthro dog off his lawn.
  • Hypocritical Humor: Before he relents in walking Pluto, Mickey tells his dog to use the spaceship's toilet, yet he immediately darts for an outhouse at the end of the short, meaning that he didn't like having to use it either.
  • "No Peeking!" Request: A nonverbal version: Mickey is walking a desperate Pluto through space, and Pluto sniffs around by a space station. He gives Mickey a look, and Mickey gets the message. He looks away for a moment while Pluto lets loose.
  • Potty Emergency: The very plot of the short is that Pluto has to go while he and Mickey are getting ready to return to Earth from a space mission. Mickey, of all people, later has one himself at the end of the short.
  • Shout-Out:
    • The spaceport where Mickey lands looks like Tomorrowland. However, while they land in Florida, the rocket is actually the Moonliner from the defunct Rocket to the Moon attraction at Disneyland.
    • Mickey drifting endlessly into space parodies Gravity.
  • A Twinkle in the Sky: Earth, from Mickey's perspective when he and Pluto are thrown off Saturn's rings,
