"You’ll never take me alive!"
Theo causes trouble for Lucks as Tari continues her life inside TAS Corp’s walls.
As Tari continues to train alongside Evelyn, Theo breaks out of Lucks’ virtual holding cell, ending up in the realm within TAS Corp’s servers, and tries to make a break for it. Meanwhile, Lamar and Sofia try and convince Masa to rejoin them.
Episode 12 provides examples of:
- Cliffhanger: Theo is once again captured and put in custody after his escape attempt, and while MD-5 is officially reunited, Masa is unable to really do anything at the moment without a Meta Runner arm, though the episode ends as Sofia tells him that she knows a way to get him a new arm.
- Cyberspace: Theo ends up glitching himself into TAS Corp's servers.
- "Eureka!" Moment: Given Lamar’s status as an otaku, Tari sees Pocket Gakusei as a possible way for her to contact MD-5.
- Nosy Neighbor: Masa has one who barges in twice into his low-tier apartment, once asking Masa about some money he owes, and again asking to borrow something while Masa is in the middle of stating his distrust towards Tari and Theo following the revelations he learned in "Shutdown". The Stinger for the season finale reveals said neighbor was Dr. Sheridan in disguise, which may also double as a Red Herring Shirt or a Red Herring.
