"Doctor Handsomeface is the love of my life! He's my- dare I say it- soulmate!"

In Blythe's apartment, Roger is sleeping when Blythe brings breakfast. Blythe admits she did this because she wants to take a year off school to live on the slopes of Mt. Gigantor, because that's how Mona Autumn got the inspiration for Tres Blasse. Roger allows the following night only. Blythe rushes into Littlest Pet Shop excited about the news, when Mrs. Twombly receives a call from Russell's owner on the phone asking to board Russell for the night so she can attend an all night bingo-a-thon. Mrs. Twombly wants to go too, so she asks Blythe to watch Russell. Blythe decides to bring Russell along for her trip to Mt. Gigantor. As Blythe walks into the day camp area, Zoe clings to her leg desperate for help. She is being taken to the vet for a checkup and she doesn't want to go.

On the road trip to Mt. Gigantor, Blythe talks with Russell, Russell mentions he wants to see the mountain goats that can walk on walls, but Blythe doubts they're real, even though Russell says he saw them on the Animal Channel. Blythe just wonders about Zoe's trip to the vet. As Zoe is being dragged along to the vet by Mrs. Twombly, she resists all the way until she gets there and admits it's not bad. Taken to the examination table, the vet leaves for a minute as Zoe notices the drill, scissors, and needles and freaks out. She falls off the table but is caught by a German Shephard in a doctor's outfit, who introduces himself as Dr. Handsomeface, who Zoe immediately falls for. He examines Zoe and asks her name. As he examines her, she falls more in love with him.

In a village near Mt. Gigantor, Blythe, Roger, and Russell look at snow globes in a shop. Russell asks if Blythe should hire a guide for the mountain, but she says that Mona didn't have a guide, nor did she ask the best spot for camping. They start their way to the mountain without a guide. Back at the pet shop, Zoe is fawning over Dr. Handsomeface as the girls ask about him. On the topic about how handsome he is, Sunil and Vinnie try to act handsome themselves as a comparison, but Pepper just wonders if the boys are jealous, as they deny it. Zoe wonders how she can see Dr. Handsomeface again, seeing how she only goes to the vet for checkups, when Vinnie mentions that she would also if she gets sick or hurt. This gives Zoe the idea to get hurt on purpose.

On Mt. Gigantor, Blythe and Roger are hiking to the top, but they're lost. Roger mention she has a map, but the wind blows it away. Blythe mentions that at least they have food, but she finds that they don't, and as Roger mentions that they have thier sleeping gear, he accidentally tosses it off the mountain. Back at the pet shop, the other pets act worried and panicked as they get Mrs. Twombly to come to the day camp area, where Zoe is pretending to be hurt. Mrs. Twombly takes Zoe to the vet and gets Youngmee to watch the shop. Meanwhile on Mt. Gigantor, Blythe comments that Mona probably didn't have a map, a tent, or food, and Russell remarks that the mountain goats are probably watching them. Roger says he found a good spot to camp out, saying he got the idea from a survival TV show. He attempts to build a tent, but fails.

At the vet, Zoe is being checked on, and the vet finds nothing wrong. As the vet leaves the room, Dr. Handsomeface enters and Zoe says hello. He asks Zoe to cross her eyes and count backwards from W, and she attempts to, confused. He asks Zoe how she is feeling, and she is just enamored, even drooling, as Dr. Handsomeface thinks her tear ducts have "cross-irrigated" into her "foodhole". As they talk, the vet comes back and takes Zoe, as she stares at Dr. Handsomeface. A song cues about when she will see him again, how she won't give up trying to see him, as she attempts to get hurt constantly, as Blythe, Roger, and Russell attempt to make a campsite and Russell sings about it

At the day camp area, Penny Ling wonders about Zoe as she's been at the vet a long time. Sunil and Vinnie say they should go to the vet and check on her (and with Pepper wanting to see this "hunk of kibble" for themselves). In front of Youngmee, the pets feign being hurt, and she rushes them to the vet. The vet calls for backup as he leaves the room. The pets look around and find Zoe talking with Dr. Handsomeface. As the pets watch, Dr. Handsomeface asks Zoe to be his nurse, but although Zoe considers herself more of an entertainer, she accepts, so she can spend more time with him. The pets enter and tell her to stop. Pepper asks if Zoe is really going to stay at the vet, but Zoe says that Dr. Handsomeface is her soulmate, so if she has to leave the pet shop, so be it, shocking the pets. Sunil wonders where Blythe is.

On Mt. Gigantor, Roger attempts and fails another shelter. As he shouts that the survival TV show failed him, the loud noise causes an avalanche. They run into a nearby cave, but the snowfal piles near the entrance, blocking their way out. As Roger faints, shadowy figures approach them. They reveal themselves to be mountain goats, and the leader introduces himself as Tenzig Norgoat. Blythe says that got stuck inside because of the avalanche, and the goats say they know another way out, and it involves going inside deeper. Riding the mountain goats through the cave, they reach the other side of the mountain. Blythe says she feels bad that she couldn't even last one night on the mountain, as Mona Autumn spent a year. The goat mentions that Mona never came to the mountain, she sent her assistant, who didn't even last an hour, and Blythe gets frustrated that she didn't check her facts. Russell remarks that if she did, they wouldn't have had this adventure. Blythe is impressed that they pushed through the mountain.

At the pet shop, the pets are sad that they'll never Zoe again (except if they get sick or hurt). Blythe and Russell enter, ready to talk about their adventure, but Blythe notices the pets' mood. Minka says what happened to Zoe, confusing Blythe. At the vet's office, Zoe and Dr. Handsomeface almost kiss when Blythe interrupts. She says Dr. Handsomeface is just a dog that lives at the vet's office, and not a doctor. Once he realizes that Blythe can understand him, he starts to wonder if there's something wrong with him. Blythe says Zoe needs to come back to the pet shop. Zoe remarks that they're a perfect couple, and she sings about it, but her singing startles Dr. Handsomeface, calling her singing horrible. Enraged, she tells him off. She decides to go back to her real friends at the pet shop. The pets are happy to have her back. Blythe says she will now check her facts before she does something crazy. Suddenly Russell sneezes, having caught a cold on the mountain. As Blythe gets ready to take him to the vet, Zoe asks to come along, and the pets respond with an emphatic "NO!".

Tropes:

  • Almost Kiss: Zoe and Dr. Handsomeface almost kiss until Blythe interrupts them.
  • Eye Twitch: Zoe gets one when Dr. Handsomeface calls her singing horrible.
  • Jerkass: It was one thing for Dr. Handsomeface to dislike Zoe's singing; It was quite another for him to assume she sang that way because something was wrong with her.
  • Know-Nothing Know-It-All: Dr. Handsomeface clearly doesn't know the first thing about medicine or anatomy, though he pretends to.
  • Meaningful Name: Unvetted referring to checking facts, as well as the vet.
  • Shaking the Rump: Sunil does this in an attempt to be "handsome".
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial: One of the lyrics in the song (where Zoe is pretending to be sick just so that she can see Dr. Handsomeface.
Zoe: Oh no, you gotta believe, ain't got no tricks up my sleeve.
Zoe: Listen, you know-nothing, empty-headed, pathetic excuse for a very handsome dog! You're not a doctor! A real doctor would have heard my amazing voice and proclaimed, “Diagnosis: Fabulous”! Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm leaving with my real friends, who appreciate my amazing singing talent!
