Mr. Barkin's driving a bus with the MH-cheerleading squad (including Ron and Rufus) to a cheerleading competition that they've been invited to, when Ron suddenly becomes agitated at the sight of a "too familiar" place. He becomes even more upset when Kim shows him their current location on the Kimmunicator, announcing that it's his "worst nightmare -- return to Camp [[IDontLikeTheSoundOfThatPlace Wannaweep]]".

The bus then hits a nail board, flattening two of the tires and forcing it to stop. Everyone takes shelter in the abandoned campground, while Ron recounts [[SummerCampy the awful summer he spent there as a child]]. Among other things, he was bullied by another camper named Gil, who spent most of his time swimming in the lake (which Ron avoided because it looked and smelled dubious).

Meanwhile, a [[FishPeople creature resembling a giant humanoid frog]] is lurking and watching, finally moving in to attack. It turns out to be Gil, mutated by the polluted water of Camp Wannaweep and determined to get revenge on [[NeverMyFault the one he blames]] for his condition: Ron Stoppable.

Ron uses his knowledge of the camp and his excellent lanyard making skills to defeat Gill, who is handed over to Dr. Lurkin, a scientist who might be able to cure him in hopes of returning him to normal. Mr. Barkin and the other cheerleaders (including Bonnie) thank Ron for saving them, and Kim thanks Ron too, as well as adding how proud she is of him for what he and Rufus did to save them.

However, Kim admits that it's "ferociously unlikely" that she'll actually let Ron lead their next mission when he asks her about it.

!!This episode provides examples of:
* AllUpToYou: Gil traps Mr. Barkin and all the cheerleaders (including Kim), ultimately leaving it up to Ron and Rufus to capture Gil and save the day.
* ChekhovsGunman: At first, Ron's flashback with Gil seemed like another random story, until we find out what the creature hunting him and the squad is.
* ChekhovsSkill: Taking that arts & crafts class and making lanyards really worked out for Ron.
* DwindlingParty: A non-fatal example.
* EverythingTryingToKillYou: Or at least, Ron thought so; even the squirrels were apparently vicious.
--> '''Kim:''' Ron, I think we've established the squirrels mean us no harm.
* FishPeople: Gill.
* FlashbackCut: Many to Ron's times at Wannaweep.
* FromBadToWorse: "There I was, trapped in the hollow of a tree (gasps)" ({{Beat}}) "and then, the woodpeckers came."
* GreenEyedMonster: Gill's primary dislike of Ron seems to be based on how Ron ultimately stayed normal and even went on to become a world famous teen hero (the sidekick to one at least), while he himself became a mutant.
* HandGagging: Gill does this to Barkin before dragging him into a bush as he abducts him.
* LuredIntoATrap: Gill went to great lengths to bring Ron and the cheer squad into his clutches, from causing a blowout of the bus's tires and jamming all communications to even sending out an invite to a phony cheer competition.
* KidsAreCruel: According to Ron they are, anyway.
--> '''Ron:''' Ah Bonnie, you remind me of the mean kids at camp. Sticks and stones.
--> '''Tara:''' ''(gasps)'' They called you names?
--> '''Ron: ''' Yes, as they were hitting me with sticks and stones.
* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: Camp ''Wannaweep''.
* NeverMyFault: Gill blames Ron for him being a mutant, but he was the one who willingly swam in the polluted water, even though Ron told him it seemed funny, so Gil really has nobody but himself to blame (and, maybe to a certain extent at least, the nearby science camp).
* ObliviousToLove: Tara's nicer to Ron than the other cheerleaders, but Ron's a little too busy freaking out over being back at Camp Wannaweep (and being hunted down by Gill) to notice.
* OutOfOrder: Although this was the second episode aired, chronologically it takes place after [[Recap/KimPossibleS1E9AttackOfTheKillerBebes ''Attack of the Killer Bebes'']] as Ron didn't become the Middleton Mad Dog until that episode.
* ScienceIsBad: Gill thinks so, as the toxic runoff from the science camp[[note]]Not band or clown camp[[/note]] made him into a mutant.
* ShipTease: At the end of episode, Tara kisses Ron on the cheek for saving her and the rest of cheerleaders.
* SkewedPriorities: Even with them being stranded in an abandoned camp and being hunted down by a mutant fish monster, Bonnie was more concerned about missing the cheerleading competition they had supposedly been invited to. While hiding in Cabin 13, she points out that they're now short two cheerleaders and no one can drive them, but a cheerleader named Crystal tells Bonnie to just forgot the competition and points out that they may not even survive the night with whatever's hunting them down. Bonnie then says, "Okay, okay, you're right." {{Beat}} "[[ComicallyMissingThePoint Do you think that something can drive?]]" Even when Mr. Barkin and the cheerleaders were in danger of becoming mutants, Bonnie was more concerned about the competition not letting "a squad of mutant cheerleaders" compete in it.
* SlasherMovie: AffectionateParody of the "there's a stalker at summer camp" kind.
* SmoochOfVictory: Tara gives one to Ron (albeit on the cheek) after everything is wrapped up.
* SummerCampy: Ron has ''very'' bad memories of Camp Wannaweep
* ThatManIsDead: PlayedForLaughs; "I am no longer 'Gil', now I am "Gill!"
--> '''Ron:''' What's the difference?
--> '''Gill:''' I added an extra "L", you know, as in "gill." As in, [[SuddenlyShouting THESE THINGS THAT GREW WHEN I MUTATED!]]
