When Revvin' Evan is appointed as Tarrytown's temporary substitute Fire Engine, Jay Jay, Tracy, Snuffy and Herky sign up to be volunteer firefighters! Determined to be the best temporary substitute fire engine of all time, Evan puts his volunteers through some rigorous training, including several late-night fire drills. But when a real fire strikes, his volunteers are so tired that they sleep right through the fire alarm! Luckily, Evan is able to put the small fire out by himself and learn a valuable lesson about being respectful of the time and energy of others.
