Frank and Charlie enlist the help of Mac and Dennis to solve a scatological mystery when they wake up and find a turd under the covers. Meanwhile, Dee takes Artemis and the Waitress on a Sex and the City-style girls' night out on the town.
This episode provides examples of the following tropes:
- Actually Pretty Funny: Dennis, Mac and Charlie admit that Frank pooping on the floor was pretty hilarious.
- Blackmail: Dee blackmails the Waitress into going on a night out with her by promising to hand over Charlie's log of her activities.
- Blatant Lies: Dee claims that she wasn't stalking the Waitress. Seconds later she produces the notes Charlie keeps on the Waitress and lists stalking among the activities girls do to each other.
- Bread, Eggs, Breaded Eggs: Artemis's description of Dee.Artemis: The outcast. The slut. The bitch. The whore. The lonely sad slutty bitchy whore.
- Bread, Eggs, Milk, Squick: According to Dee, women "backstab and talk about each other behind our backs and stalk."
- Continuity Nod: The Waitress still has a drinking problem.
- Coolest Club Ever: 'Bleu Martini', the club that Dee drags Artemis and the Waitress to.
- Delusions of Eloquence: Dee seems to think that she's a classy, sophisticated woman like the girls from Sex and the City who's above the antics of the gang. She's really, really not.
- Dramatic Thunder: During the final scene, when the gang plus Artemis gather in the bar to discover the true culprit.
- Everybody Did It: Subverted; Artemis gives a ridiculously convoluted explanation for the poop that implicates every single member of the gang, as well as the Waitress and Rickety Cricket, only for Frank to admit moments later that it was him all along.
- Evil Laugh: The Waitress delivers one during one of Artemis's flashbacks while pooping in Dee's purse.
- Extreme Omnivore: Newspaper, pieces of credit card and wolf hair are found in the first poop. Even worse, Frank and Charlie both agree that it's "inconclusive" and could have come from either one of them.
- Freak Out: Dee has one when she visits an art gallery in a last-ditch attempt to be classy, only to realize that all of the exhibits are poop-related.
- Gender-Separated Ensemble Episode: Dee's subplot involves her hanging out with recurring female characters Artemis and the Waitress while the guys try to solve the mystery of the poop.
- It Amused Me: Frank admits at the end of the episode that he was actually responsible for all of the poops, because "poop is funny".
- The Klutz: When Dee's credit card is declined in a shoe store, she attempts to flee in a pair of too-small Manolos and winds up running headlong into a parked car, triggering its burglar alarm and landing on her ass on the sidewalk.
- Lack of Empathy: Dee displays remarkable callousness towards the Waitress's alcoholism, declaring it an unattractive trait to be open about, mocking it as an indicator that she should be able to handle her drinks better, then forgetting about it completely.
- Large Ham: Artemis gets ridiculously dramatic during her Summation Gathering.
- Lights Off, Somebody Dies: Parodied. Replace "dies" with "poops", and this is played completely straight, right down to a woman (Dee) screaming upon discovering the crime scene.
- Name One:Waitress: I have a ton of friends.
Dee: Name one friend.
Waitress: ...Frederick.
Dee: Frederick is your cat, and he died three weeks ago. - No, You: Appears to be the Waitress's go-to comeback when drunk.Dee: You should know how to hold your booze a little better.
Waitress: I'll hold your boobs a little better.
Dee: Oh, good one.- Later:Dee: Wow, you have a bad attitude when you're drinking.
Waitress: You have a bad attitude when you're drinking, you huge-footed slut!

- Noodle Incident: There's a ton of wolf hair in Frank and Charlie's apartment for an unexplained reason.
- Off the Wagon: The Waitress falls off it hard thanks to Dee constantly goading her to drink, and is a complete mess by the end of the episode.
- Running Gag: The Waitress is incensed that the gang still don't know her name.
- String Theory: One of these bulletin boards can be seen in the background as Artemis delivers her speech about the murder.
- Summation Gathering: Parodied when Artemis gathers the gang in the bar to give her explanation of the events. She treats it with all the seriousness of a genuine murder mystery, despite the fact that they're talking about poop.
- Surrounded by Idiots: Seems to be Dee's mindset throughout the episode.Dee: I hate my life.
- Take That!: Mac and Dennis deal out a couple of jabs to Sex and the CityMac: Oh my God, when will that show die?
Dennis: Never, apparently. - There Is Only One Bed: Dennis comments on the fact that Frank and Charlie could have avoided this whole situation if they'd just get separate beds like normal people.
- Toilet Humor: The entire episode revolves around poop.
- Too Much Information: Artemis introduces herself to men by telling them that she has a bleached asshole, reasoning that "they're going to find out anyway".
