The twelfth episode of the second season of Garfield and Friends.

Post-opening sequence line: "Sell your remote control, I'm the best thing on!"

Robodie

After Garfield 'terrorizes' a nearby 'All-You-Can-Eat-Buffet', Odie is kidnapped by a mad scientist, Dr. Garbanzo Bean, who wants to create robot dogs. While Odie is caged up, one of the robots escapes and ends up following Garfield. Back home, Garfield can't seem to kick Odie (as it feels he's been kicking metal or something) or toss the stick far far away. Until Jon gives him a bowl of water, and the robot short-circuits and blows up. Jon and Garfield decide to look in the last place Odie went, and finally enter Garbanzo's lair. The real Odie manages to escape and reunite with them and Dr. Garbanzo Bean realizes that all of his 'robots' are acting stupid while the guys leave.

Not realizing that they left the door open and the robot dogs out, they decide to head to the same 'All-You-Can-Eat-Buffet', only for the restaurant manage to stop them. Jon tells Garfield to stay outside as the owner agrees to let Jon and the dog enter. But much to his shock, the robot dogs follow Jon inside while Garfield (disguise as one of them) enters while fighting one of the robot dogs for food.

First Aid Wade

After falling off the back of a cow, Wade suffers a serious leg injury and thinks that Roy and Orson will perform surgery on him due to a misunderstanding.

Video Victim

Garfield and Jon make a bet that if Garfield can stop watching TV for 24 hours, Jon'll stop using the vacuum, which annoys Garfield. He then finds it hard to live without viewing programs.

"Robodie" contains examples of:

  • Mad Scientist: Dr. Garbanzo Beans.
  • Buffet Buffoonery: Garfield cleans out an all you can buffet and then complains because it wasn't all he could eat.

"First Aid Wade" contains examples of:

  • Mathematician's Answer: Wade is being his usual cowardly self, this time about seeing a doctor. Orson tries to reassure him, but Roy can't miss an opportunity to have a laugh at his expense.
Orson: What a minute. You're not a surgeon, Roy.
(Doctor) Roy: I operated on a man just yesterday.
    Orson: For what?
    Roy: For 900 dollars.
Orson: No, no. What did the man have?
    Roy: 900 dollars.
Orson: No, I mean what did you remove?!
Roy: [playing with a ball and paddle] The 900 dollars.
Orson: No! What was his complaint?!
Orson and Roy: The 900 dollars.
    Orson: OK Roy, you carve.
  • Rhyming Title: First Aid Wade.

"Video Victim" contains examples of:

  • Alliterative Title: Video Victim.
  • The Bet: Jon and Garfield make a wager that, if Garfield can go for 24 hours without watching TV, Jon will stop using the vacuum cleaner.
  • Cold Turkeys Are Everywhere: Jon reads entries from the TV Guide to try to tempt Garfield into turning on the TV, and during the night, Garfield is tempted by the TV itself. Later, Jon suffers the same thing from the vacuum cleaner.
  • Cutting the Knot: Garfield stops the TV's temptation (and wins the bet) by simply unplugging the TV.
