Making Angels
The Fringe Team of Blue Earth is surprised by a visit from Red Earth's Astrid, in a raw and emotional state (
for her) after the death of her father. While she's at Harvard she assists them with a case involving an untraceable poison and a killer who can see the future.
Tropes
- Did You Think I Can't Feel?: Even though her father just died, Altstrid has apparently not been getting much sympathy back home. Everyone just assumes nothing affects her.
- Mercy Kill: What Neil Chung sees himself as doing.
- Self-Fulfilling Prophecy: Neil's attempt to kill a jerkass yuppie before he spends the rest of his life paralyzed in a bad group home sends the guy running, resulting in his getting hit by a car and paralyzed.
- Suicide by Cop: How Neil chooses to go out, since his religion bars him from heaven if he kills himself.
- The Topic of Cancer: The first of Neil's victims gets the news of a cancer diagnosis from his doctor in The Teaser. This kind of cancer has a very high recovery rate, but he's apparently fated to be one of the exceptions.
- The Unfavorite
- You Should Have Died Instead: Neil's brother died when he was a child. His mother loudly prayed to God asking why He couldn't have taken her other son.
