Eddy and Ed find out that Kevin is afraid of needles and decide to scare him by pretending it's Booster Shot Day, putting the whole school in an uproar.
Tropes
- Afraid of Needles: Kevin, and pretty much everyone else in the school, except Jonny and Double D.
- Believing Their Own Lies: Despite helping Eddy trick everyone thinking it is Booster Shot Day, Ed himself ends up fooled and runs off scared before Eddy points out it is just a prank, to which Ed points out the cruelty of.
- Dirty Coward: When Eddy's prank is exposed causing Kevin to get ready to beat him up, he tries to convince Kevin to bludgeon Ed with a golf club instead of him, then tries to hide behind Double D when Kevin refuses.
- Everyone Has Standards: While he still takes part in helping Eddy prank Kevin with a Booster Shot Day hoax (albeit due to not knowing any better), Ed remarks that he doesn't find the prank funny.Eddy: Relax, Ed, you're not getting a needle. Nobody is! It's a joke, get it? On Kevin?Ed: Not funny, Eddy.
- Giant Medical Syringe: Eddy uses a crudely made one (constructed out of a trash can, a golf club and a bicycle wheel) to scare Kevin.
- Green-Eyed Monster: The whole reason why Eddy tries to scare Kevin with his fear of needles was because he didn't like seeing all the fame and adoration Kevin is getting after winning a basketball game.
- Hypocrite: Eddy mocks Kevin for his fear of needles. The ending shows he's just as frightened of them as Kevin is.
- Idiot Houdini: Ed got off the hook more easily than Eddy for taking part in the latter's prank probably because he went along without thinking nor does he have malicious intent.
- Injection Plot: Ed and Eddy find out that Kevin has a crippling fear of needles, so they plot to scare him by announcing that it's Booster Shot Day at school and carrying around a giant makeshift needle.
- Laser-Guided Karma: For putting the whole school in an uproar in an unprovoked effort to scare Kevin out of petty envy, Eddy is forced to get a booster shot of his own—and Kevin gets to watch.
- Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Eddy's efforts to scare Kevin of his fear of needles end up unintentionally curing Kevin of his fear when Double D exposes the plot.
- Pet the Dog: When Eddy tries to use Double D as a Human Shield, Kevin actually gives Double D a chance to step aside. He also, surprisingly enough, spares Ed despite him taking part in Eddy's prank.
- Reading the Stage Directions Out Loud: When Ed acts as assistant nurse to Eddy, he's clearly repeating Eddy's commands verbatim. ("Pass out the leaflets, lumpy.", "Talk about how big it is, stupid.")
