For a long stretch of the fight, he seemingly forgets that there are other ways of fighting besides firing ki blasts, much to the satisfaction of Super #17 who grows exponentially more powerful with every Kamehameha he eats.

** Freeza and Cell are practically reduced to a GoldfishPoopGang, unable to scratch a child-sized Goku (admittedly, Goku had gotten much stronger since he last encountered either of them), and they are foiled very humiliatingly.

* WeAreTeamCannonFodder: The Z-Warriors themselves become this as soon as Super #17 arrives on the scene. The combined might of Vegeta, Gohan, Goten, Trunks and Uub barely phases him. Naturally, only Goku is able to make any headway against Super #17, but even with his new Super Saiyan 4 transformation at his disposal, it's a challenging fight.
* YouDontLookLikeYou: Hell looks very different to how it did in ''Z'' filler, being more in line with a typical Westernised "darkness, fire and brimstone" aesthetic. Although, the villains are still apparently free wander around to their hearts' content like before, in jarring contrast to the updated portrayal of Hell seen in ''Anime/DragonBallSuper''.
