While giving a group of children a tour of the forest, novice zoologist Yamato Kazakiri drops his childhood charm - a cube - and chases after it. He finds it near a huge cube structure - the Link Cube - and discovers that his own cube fits perfectly in a slot embedded in the Link Cube. After placing it in the slot, a door appears and sucks Yamato into it.
Yamato wakes up in a strange land, Zyuland, which is inhabited by beastmen called Zyuman and is discovered by four of them: Sela, Leo, Tusk, and Amu. Meanwhile, a huge spacecraft belonging to the space outlaws Deathgaliens approaches Earth, which they plan on making the next ‘playground’ for their Blood Game. The Zyumans explain that the Link Cube connects the “Human World” and “Zyuland”. The only way to activate the portal is by inserting all six King’s Credentials into the Link Cube. However, one of the King’s Credentials was lost a long time ago. With Yamato being in possession of the lost King’s Credential he is instantly thought to have been the thief that stole it. Scared, Yamato fleas back to the Human World through the Link Cube but is chased by Sela, Leo, Tusk, and Amu. However, when they arrive in the Human World, they witness people and animals alike running from the Deathgalien invaders.
- Alternate Universe: Zyuland, from where the Zyumans live and Yamato travels using the Link Cube
- Big Damn Heroes: Yamato coming to the other Zyuohgers' aid, awakening his King's Credential and becoming Zyuoh Eagle.
